  • Great Concert! Would see Imelda May again & again!

    by DmbFan17 on 10/3/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Imelda May put on an amazing show at the Bowery Ballroom. She was flawless and energetic. Her band is great on its own. She kept the audience pumped with a lot of interaction with the crowd. She is a great performer and I would see her again any time.

  • Imelda May: Uniquely talented and entertainting

the Imelda May show at the Paradise was better than I even expected...amazing voice, great stage presence, terrific band. Her songs sound like no one else you've heard. Top shelf stuff.

  • Stunning show

by ferrad on 10/3/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Imelda is just the most superb performer. She is so natural. You can see the connectivity she has with the band members, and with Darrel her husband. They all just gel together. And she just loved the NYC crowd- we had 5 encores (2 planned) she just couldn't get off the stage. What a genuinely nice person. And so talented. You could never ask for a better show, and the location Bowery Ballroom is a great location.

  • Fabulously stylish, incredible artist!

by Vishi on 10/3/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Imelda May is an amazing artist with breathtaking showmanship skills --- that's why there is nothing like a live performance! Her band is fantastic and each member got to do a solo. The entire performance was electrified from the first cord yet every song seemed even more explosive than the previous one. Imelda May owned the crowd. Her entire image is so well thought stylish, you want to take a picture and make a poster out of it. A unique performer!

  • I love her

by Jefferster on 10/3/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Imelda May is amazing. She puts on such an excellent show, prancing around everywhere, giving her musicians their due credit, making things heartfelt, singing like she meant it. The crowd was pretty diverse with a decent number of hipster-types but also a strong showing of the older rockabilly crowd that maybe gives her extra credibility for what she does. Very good vibes. My only complaint was the lighting (a little slow on the uptake!) but that's not the band's fault.

  • Imelda May rocks!!

by Nibnob on 10/3/11Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Great intimate venue, Imelda had the place buzzing from the first moment she stepped on stage.

  • Imelda May was great!!

My wife has been excited to see Imelda may ever since she saw the PBS dvd concert of her singing with Jeff Beck on the Les Paul tribute. Our kids enjoyed that too, so much so we bought her latest cd and meanwhile combed youtube for videos. I was not as caught up as my wife, but when we heard Imelda was coming to Boston, we had to go. The Paradise Rock Club was a great place to see a show and Imelda May was unforgettable. Really great warm up band, and the main act was WAY better than I expected. Highly recommend you check her out.

  • Imelda shines above and beyond my expectations!

The opening act was great and then Imelda May took the stage and rocked the audience so hard that it flew by! Everyone there was completely and utterly mesmerized by the woman on stage! She has a voice that resonates into your soul. I am so glad I went!

  • Imelda May lights a fire

by lunaticdaze on 10/2/11Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Imelda May played The Paradise last thursday night, what a night! She really rocked the house, her voice is incredible. If you don't know who she is do yourself a favor and learn all you can. She pulls you in and doesn't let go. The band was tight and rocked,Imelda let them shine throughout the show. If you don't have her music in your collection then your missing out on something so wonderful.

Went to see The Ettes as openers. This Ms. May kicked them off the tour the afternoon of the show. Booooo!!! No warning from the venue on the change in lineup. Terrible.

  • Imelda May Rocks

    by BeachGirl27 on 8/14/11Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Imelda May is a must see. I gave the rating 5 stars because of how simply fabulous she is. Her band is incredible. BUT, beware of the Brighton Music Hall, this place is a standing room only venue. They take care to hide this fact when you are buying tickets, but if your idea of a good time is standing for 3 hours rubbing against a bunch of drunken strangers then you would probably like this place. I didn't and alot of the rest of the crowd didn't either But again Imelda is very very talented.

Imelda may's voice packs a punch. Deep throaty vocals very bluesy.

Unfortunately, after having purchased tickets a month ago, my wife and I were not able to attend due to medical problems We were very disappointed to say the least. Imelda and her band are sensational. .
