Ibrahim Maalouf On Tour

Hailed by the New York Times as a "virtuoso of the quarter-tone trumpet," Ibrahim Maalouf is a French-Lebanese jazz trumpeter and composer. But Maalouf is no ordinary composer. He strives to combine jazz improvisation with influences of European classical music, adding hints of the sounds from his home in France, and his native roots in Lebanon. Maalouf has been stealing the hearts of audiences worldwide since 1997 to pre. If you're a lover of jazz, you're not going to want to miss Ibrahim Maalouf when he comes to a city near you. Maalouf is currently on tour  traveling through Europe and North America. Playing from the young age of 7, the talent Ibrahim Maalouf displays pours out of him with ease. His sound is rich with flavor, tranquil, calming, as if the notes were just melting off the instrument. To get a feel for his music, isten to some of his most popular songs such as "Beirut," "El Mundo," "True Sorry," or "Una Rosa Blanca."

Ibrahim Maalouf Live In Concert

After having to leave his home country of Lebanon as a child during the Lebanese Civil War, Ibrahim Maalouf found his new home in Paris, France. His father, a very strong musician himself, taught Maalouf how to play classical, baroque, modern, and contemporary repertoires, as well as classical Arabic music and improvisation. Not only is he a musical genius, Maalouf studied in Paris until the age of 17 when he earned a degree in general science and specialized in mathematics. After earning his degree, Maalouf accompanied his dad in a jazz duo and traveled throughout Europe and the Middle East. Coming to the realization that his heart lies solely in the music, Maalouf made the decision to give up science. After that, he spent five years at Conservatoire de Paris working to become a teacher of improvisation. In 2007, Maalouf released his first hit solo album called Diasporas. Maalouf composed several full soundtracks for movies, composed complex pieces for choirs and orchestras, and competed in multiple international competitions. Between 1999 and 2003, Maalouf earned prestigious awards in 15 different competitions around the world. The success Maalouf has found is much deserved and his passion continues to shine through to this day.

    Incredible!

by Nikki on 9/27/22MTELUS - Montreal

It was an incredible show! Can talk about it for hours! Note to ticket master : I find it really weird to have to rate shows… please don’t make it a thing. This is not a corporate gig hired by a client for it to get a rating. Art is art and is very subjective to each. It’s a unique experience to every listener. Every fan base is different and we wouldn’t want an artist to lose ticket sales because of a rating. Do we rate songs on streaming services? Do we rate painters in art galleries? Thanks for understanding.

    Misleading tickets

by Suha on 9/26/22MTELUS - Montreal

My friend bought the tickets with sitting numbers, when i arrived, all the sits was taken and i had watch standing. I would not buy tickets if i know it is standing. Secondly, why you do not send tickets with a simple barcode. I do not have to use your app. I wait in the queue, and ticket on my telephone did not worked. Then went to ticket booth, wait another 10 minutes. Went back to entrance queue, wait once more to enter. Why do you make the things so complicated?

    Very crowded

by Joyce on 9/26/22MTELUS - Montreal

First, the place was very crowded, it was obvious that it was overbooked. We were standing and cannot move. Some people were lucky enough to get seats, but we all payed the same price for the ticket which is not fair. Ibrahim and his band started around 40 minutes late after Flavia's show. We were standing there in an overcrowded place waiting for him. We finally left because we were very tired and cannot enjoy the show especially that we couldn't see anything with that much of people.
