About

Hugh Jackman on Tour

If you thought Hugh Jackman the action hero was entertaining, wait till you meet Hugh Jackman the song-and-dance man. If the Australian performer is a man of few (mostly grumpy) words as Hollywood's Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, onstage he is sophisticated charm personified, as demonstrated in his latest solo showcase, Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show.

Jackman has alternated between stage and screen his entire career. TV provided his first professional experience when Jackman was tapped for a role in the Australian series Correlli the very 1995 night he graduated from Sydney's Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. He first made his mark abroad in the leading role of Curly in the Royal National Theatre's celebrated production of Oklahoma! The West End production earned him an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Jackman first put on his Wolverine talons in 2000 for Bryan Singer's X-Men. That led to subsequent appearances in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, among other sequels and prequels, ending with Logan in 2017. He also played lead roles in the romantic-comedy fantasy Kate & Leopold and magic-themed The Prestige. His performance as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables led to a 2012 Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

Jackman's role as P.T. Barnum in 2017's The Greatest Showman provided the seed for his one-man extravaganza The Man. The Music. The Show. It features music from the record-breaking original motion picture soundtrack, performed by a live orchestra alongside talented dancers. It also includes audience favorites from Jackman's prior shows, Back on Broadway (2011) and Broadway to Oz (2015).

All of these career retrospectives provide slide-show and video glimpses into Jackman's family life, involve one-on-one audience interactions, and reprise his glittery Tony Award-winning musical-theater portrayal of flamboyant Australian entertainer Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.

A philanthropist with a longtime interest in microcredit (the extension of very small loans to support entrepreneurship and alleviate poverty), Jackman also serves as an advisor to the Global Poverty Project, which imagines the end of poverty within a generation.

    Had a great time

    by L. S. on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

Hugh Jackman is a consummate showman, he sings, dances, and charms his way throughout his performance, not to forget that even at 51 years old he is eye candy for women!

It was better than I expected. The seats were perfectly fine despite them being in the balcony.

    Amazing

by Hannah T on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

This show was amazing!! The ONLY complaint I have is that it was not longer. Hugh Jackman is an amazing performer and I didn’t want to miss one moment. One can only hope he goes on another tour in the future because he is a natural and phenomenal performer.

    Hugh Jackman Show

by Dave on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

The show was non-stop entertainment that kept us engaged throughout the entire show. Hugh Jackman put on a fantastic show where he told funny jokes, channeled Peter Allen during a segment of the show, sang and danced well ( which was a pleasant surprise to me), and he kept audience engaged and entertained. The rest of the cast was exceptional as well.

    Hugh input

by Lowa on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

The concert was wonderful! Fabulous! The AT&T Center was awful. Food choices terrible. Service to get food and drink slow and terrible. What sense does it make to buy a bottle of water and pour it in a plastic open top cup?!?! Parking was awful. I bought a $50 parking pass in advance and had no different access to parking than the $20 parking for people showing up day of.

Hugh Jackman is a total talent. Loved his stories, his music, and his dancing. The accompanying dancers and singers were terrific. The costumes were colorful and fit the performance perfectly. His special guests were great.

Not sure what to call this show

    by M. W. on 10/18/19Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Hugh is your show a concert, or comedy, a musical perhaps? Better yet an informative display of Australian history, no. You touch every bit of a great performance worthy of an Oscar winner. I'd recommend your show to anyone and everyone. Thank you for the wonderful work you do.

    Wonderful Show!

by Aunt JoJo on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

Hugh Jackman IS The Greatest Showman, for sure! He put together an absolutely fabulous ensemble for the evening, but make no mistake, he was the star of the show, singing, dancing (including tap), playing the piano and drums, and more singing. I regret not spending the money to be closer to the stage.

    Great Show

by Noah on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

The show & seat selection was great. Only complaint is the view being blocked for the first 30 plus minutes by late arrivals.

Saw it three times... I wish I could see it more.

by HG Chaser on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

This was the third time I saw this show...yes I loved it that much. I saw it first in Minneapolis, then in Salt Lake City, and finally in San Antonio. This show had everything in it...pure entertainment. The only thing I regret is not seeing it more. I live near Salt Lake and I wish i had seen it both nights it was there. I went with different people each time and they loved it as well. I had no idea how talented Hugh Jackman was. He is fabulous. He truly lived up to his name "the greatest showman". I loved the stories he shared and the variety of entertaiinment he had and especially that he kept it a good clean family show. An added bonus was Keala Settle sang at two of the three concerts with an added bonus song from her new up and coming album. She was incredible. I loved the show from start to finish and from city to city. Tha ks Hugh.

by Debbie on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

Seriously, is there anything this man can't do? He's a rare breed and a true all around entertainer. And to top it off he actually seems like a decent human being. I'd go see him again in a heartbeat!!
