About

Hugh Jackman on Tour

If you thought Hugh Jackman the action hero was entertaining, wait till you meet Hugh Jackman the song-and-dance man. If the Australian performer is a man of few (mostly grumpy) words as Hollywood's Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, onstage he is sophisticated charm personified, as demonstrated in his latest solo showcase, Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show.

Jackman has alternated between stage and screen his entire career. TV provided his first professional experience when Jackman was tapped for a role in the Australian series Correlli the very 1995 night he graduated from Sydney's Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. He first made his mark abroad in the leading role of Curly in the Royal National Theatre's celebrated production of Oklahoma! The West End production earned him an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Jackman first put on his Wolverine talons in 2000 for Bryan Singer's X-Men. That led to subsequent appearances in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, among other sequels and prequels, ending with Logan in 2017. He also played lead roles in the romantic-comedy fantasy Kate & Leopold and magic-themed The Prestige. His performance as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables led to a 2012 Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

Jackman's role as P.T. Barnum in 2017's The Greatest Showman provided the seed for his one-man extravaganza The Man. The Music. The Show. It features music from the record-breaking original motion picture soundtrack, performed by a live orchestra alongside talented dancers. It also includes audience favorites from Jackman's prior shows, Back on Broadway (2011) and Broadway to Oz (2015).

All of these career retrospectives provide slide-show and video glimpses into Jackman's family life, involve one-on-one audience interactions, and reprise his glittery Tony Award-winning musical-theater portrayal of flamboyant Australian entertainer Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.

A philanthropist with a longtime interest in microcredit (the extension of very small loans to support entrepreneurship and alleviate poverty), Jackman also serves as an advisor to the Global Poverty Project, which imagines the end of poverty within a generation.

    The Greatest Showman

by Mary T. on 10/23/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

Awesome show, perfect for the entire family. If you loved “The Greatest Showman”, “Les Miserables”, and “Wolverine” movies, you’ll definitely love this.

    The Greatest Showman (had to)

by A fan on 10/22/19Schottenstein Center - Columbus

My first impression was he’s not a perfect live singer, not compared to some of the recordings I’ve memorized. He quickly made up for that with charisma and comedy. His stories, true or not, we’re hilarious and entertaining. Some of the selections meant nothing to me, but it was a great show I’d see again.

    WOW - What a Showman!

by IndyKate on 10/21/19Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

Really enjoyed the awesome show that Hugh Jackman and his entire group of incredible musicians/singers/dancers put on Oct 12th - his Birthday. He is multi-talented, funny and great eye-candy. More importantly, he seems like just a really nice guy - very down-to-earth. Anyone who didn't see the show missed out!

    Phenomenal!

by Mama on 10/21/19Schottenstein Center - Columbus

We had great seats, but my sister and brother in law had VIP seats in the second row, got some fantastic pics. Well worth the price of the tickets, would put it up against anything I have seen in Vegas! Love him!!

    Magnificent

by AMF on 10/21/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

I bought these tickets for my daughters and myself. We had excellent seats for the show. From the opening number to the very last, we were thoroughly entertained. He is a phenomenal performer and an excellent storyteller. He was funny and personable. His guests and fellow performers were equally talented and excellent! I can honestly say this was the best concert we’ve ever attended. We wished it could’ve gone on forever!

    The Greatest Show

by Michael on 10/21/19Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

Going into this show, I had no idea what to expect. I knew Wolverine sang and danced, but this show was amazing. From the special guests, amazing cultural music, the greatest tap number I have ever seen, and of course the favorites, no Oklahoma though... If you are on the fence, get tickets. Definitely worth seeing!

    Entertaining from start to finish.

by Jason Bonner on 10/20/19Amalie Arena - Tampa

It's good to see someone do something for the sheer love of it. To be genuine. To not hide with autotune or make excuses. You can feel the entire time that he does the show for the love of the experience, not the money. It's a different energy (or maybe that is just in my head) when you know the performer is not doing a "job", that they are in the moment. Solid entertainment the whole time.

    Hugh Jackman live in Columbus

by electhecoop on 10/19/19Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Wonderful show. Easy parking in the buckeye lot, shuttle to the venue but we decided to walk since it was such a beautiful night. Show started about 7:40 with no opening act. Seeing "the greatest show" sung live was great. It was pretty loud and the arena's accoustics didn't help. The quieter songs and Hugh talking we're just fine though. All said we were really glad we went.

    Hugh Jackman

    by R. A. on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

Hugh Jackman is a very talented actor, known by millions worldwide. The fact that he is a very talented singer, dancer and Broadway star is not as well known. I found his show was highly entertaining in both style and substance. The selection of songs, the pace, the back up singers and dancers as well as the musicians were all seamless and entertaining. Hugh Jackman himself was very involved in the entire experience and shared with the audience his childhood, start in the business, his beautiful wife and family and his eventual fame. I found Mr Jackman very talented, entertaining, likeable and humble. I recommend everyone to try to experience one of the greatest talents we have today!

    Exuberant

    by J. M. on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

It is was an exciting concert that included singing with dance and also humorous speeches with interaction between the viewers made it a more relaxed atmosphere. A really pulsating entrance with the music and vocals that is easy to stay inside your mind when you’re not sure about the lyrics the melody is still great. It had lighting effects that was like rainbow and sparkles so it looked pretty on stage then also onto the crowd. I hope to see the show again and I don’t want to say too much for people who didn’t see the concert yet but I’m glad to have had the experience to see it. One thing though is that the arena has a list of contraband that includes signs or flags with sticks or poles so that made it difficult to determine if fan art or poster board oak tag could be brought inside. It would be nice to have the live show on tape also

by Candy on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

This was the absolute best way to spend a Tuesday evening!!! Hugh Jackman’s show was spectacular and the AT&T center was a great venue to see the show. At intermission, concessions was quick and seamless and a special shout out for the coffee, which was surprisingly good. Definitely would come here again to see a show and would definitely see Hugh Jackman’s show the next time he comes back to Texas!

Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show

by MES on 10/18/19AT&T Center - San Antonio

Hugh Jackman and his entire cast were spectacular. It was an amazing evening! However, the evening was spoiled by the ridiculous handling of the parking lots at the AT&T Center. It took an extended ridiculous amount of time to be directed through lot 4 to lot 1. We arrived early enough that there should not have been this issue.
