  • Reflective evening with the voice we all love

by Jen on 11/26/25Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Shankar delivered a 90 minute, data driven summary of 7 life lessons. He does it all from heart with no queue cards, and manages to insert humor. Recommend for Hidden Brain fans or pop psychology fans

Shankar is a wonderful orator, totally at ease with his audience. He connected with us right from the start. So much wisdom and insight! I love his combination of humor and scientific evidence and compassion.

Walked away with a better understanding of myself. Really enjoyed the “homework” assignment given during intermission

  • Meaningful Experience

I enjoy the Hidden Brain podcast and it felt like a privilege to be able to experience it live. Social science research teaches us so much. I enjoyed meeting my new friend at intermission. I brought my daughter and her girlfriend and made new converts to the podcast. Thank you Shankar Vedantum for bringing your unique ability to present and explain to the stage.

  • It is what you expected

An extended version of the NPR program but without Shankar's interviews of experts. He's a thoughtful, brilliant, and engaging speaker. If you enjoy the radio program or the podcast you will enjoy this show.

  • Heartfelt and inspiring

Shankar didn’t disappoint. Heartfelt and inspiring talk that summed up 10 years of Hidden Brain. Loved hearing his daughter tell stories of growing up with Shankar as a father.

  • Brilliant!

Such an inspirational and thought provoking presentation from one of my favorite NPR personalities. I am a better person after having attended this talk.

  • A meaningful and memorable night!

by Bianca from CT on 8/5/25Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

As a longtime fan of the Hidden Brain podcast, I was so excited to attend the live tour—and it did not disappoint! Shankar Vedantam was thoughtful, engaging, and even funnier in person. The stories, insights, and behind-the-scenes reflections gave me a whole new appreciation for the show. The VIP Brainstormer Q&A was a highlight for me—such a unique opportunity to hear more about how the episodes are created and to connect with other fans. If you love the podcast, you’ll absolutely love seeing it come to life on stage. A truly meaningful experience I’ll never forget.

Mr Vedanta’s has a wonderful way of taking you through a mind exercise with life stories and antidotes. His podcasts are delightful but seeing him speak is even better.
