I took my daughter and a friend and had a wonderful night. I would recommend this to anyone.
Coming from a hard core Harry Potter fan, this was a fantastic event! I loved every second of it. I'll definitely be going again.
We took two 11 year old (boy and girl) who love Harry Potter. The movie was on a huge screen above the stage with the Jacksonville Symphony on the stage. The music was amazing, replicating the soundtrack, if you appreciate a live symphony with extensive percussion's, you will love this show. I would recommend not seeing the movie recently before going. It is a long movie and a late night for young kids. With the intermission, was able to stretch our legs a bit. First time at the Daily's Place, excellent facilities (in the Jaguar football stadium), plenty of parking. Good job to the symphony!
Great movie and symphony performance. Seats were fantastic.
I have watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone many times so the movie and story line was old hat (but still enjoyable). However, adding a live symphony orchestra made it new again! The music itself is wonderful but hearing it played throughout the movie was an unforgettable experience. I also appreciated that the subtitles were displayed because the voices on the screen couldn't always be understood because of the dynamics of the music. This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I look forward to future Harry Potter movies with the orchestra.
You must see a movie with a live symphony orchestra! Awesome!
Concert was excellent! Orchestra was so good, we almost forgot they were even there. Parking was convenient but a little pricey and they only accepted cash (which we had to go to an atm to get) Movie was great on the big screen, however, it was annoying that there was captioning on the entire movie. Venue was very nice, but the concession stand lines could have been better organized as we couldn't even walk to the bathrooms since the line for concession were so crazy. Otherwise, it was a great evening that we really enjoyed and would do again.
Loved KSO Harry Potter and the Sorcers Stone...just bought 7 tickets today for January 27th Chamber of Secrets!
The show was utterly amazing. Beautiful, heartwarming, and unforgettable. It gave me laughter & tears & brought back the nostalgia of my youth. Can't wait for the next one!
I liked the show but it was just Harry Potter. The music was not any different than watching it from home. I expected more of an magical atmosphere as well... it just didn't seem as good as it could have been considering the ticket prices.
As many times as I have seen this movie this was a totally unique and wonderful experience. The orchestra brought it to a whole new level.
This event was wonderful! Truly a work of dedicated professionals who have worked tirelessly to bring the Harry Potter movie to life. I will be seeing the next performances.
I saw Harry Potter and the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra at the Civic Auditorium and it was AMAZING! My seats were on the second row, which I probably would not pick again because the screen was too close and very big! It was great for being able to see the orchestra and the happenings with the music, but I felt I was looking up to see the screen for the movie showing. I would definitely recommend this show and the venue was nice also.
The movie and orchestra were fantastic, but the people around me felt the freedom to loudly quote the movie from start to finish. It was very rude.
Harry Potter Concert Series was a marvelous introduction to the symphony for my granddaughter! It was such fun watching the movie and also watching the musicians perform the beautiful orchestral work! It was fun all around! The only downfall was there is no elevator in the civic auditorium.
My teenagers are big Harry Potter fans. This event was the perfect way to get them to go to a symphony performance. They loved it and are looking forward to the next Harry Potter experience.
This may have ruined us ever going to a movie again... unless the symphony plays!
Yes, I had seen the first Harry Potter movie, Sorcerer's Stone, but seeing it in this setting was unbelievable. If I didn't see the Columbus Symphony there, you would think it was the original soundtrack. Just amazing how they play the music and it seamlessly flows with the movie. I am definitely looking at going to more of these in the future.
I was extremely excited for this but wasn't certain what to expect. The movie literally was 10x funnier, more enjoyable, and spectacular because of the live orchestration. The crowd's energy was amazing.
Treated my grandson and one of his friends. We all had a great time. Am so looking forward to the one in January 2018
