A revolutionary story of passion, unstoppable ambition, and the dawning of a new nation.
HAMILTON is the epic saga that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation. Based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. HAMILTON features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

Amazing! Took the whole family 9 of us from age 12 and up and everyone totally loved it! So much better that watching the Broadway performance on TV! Best Christmas gift!!
Performance was great! Theater was beautiful. Would recommend to anyone.
It’s the best thing to have ever been put on a stage. Period.
Read the synopsis and then go - this is fabulous!!
I thought it was a good show but not as good as I remembered the first time around. I listen to the soundtrack quite often and this was my second time seeing this show live. I think I liked the cast better the first time and the singing was just much stronger overall. The Schuyler sisters were off key in the first act and the entire first half, the actors did not sound loud enough. That made the singing sound not as energetic as I remember or like it is in the soundtrack. It makes me think there was a sound issue because the second act was actually much better. Enjoyed the actors portraying Hamilton, Lafayette, George W, and the king the most!
Learned a lot about the history of the characters. It was so much better than I thought it would be. Great ensemble!
This was the third time that we have seen "Hamilton"and this is arguably the best version we have seen yet.
This cast is amazing! Such a worthwhile experience and wonderful for my 12 year olds. The actor for Burr, Hamilton, George Washington, and King George stole the show.
I laughed, I cried, I felt everything. This is an incredible show from start to finish. Cannot recommend enough!
The show was good. But not great like it was 5 years ago. It was difficult to understand the words. The cast was good but only A. Burr was excellent. I still enjoyed it but was hoping for more.
This was my second time seeing Hamilton in person, having previously seen it during the initial sit down run in Chicago thanks to lottery tickets. As much as I appreciated that first trip, I made it a point to see it from the balcony so I could get a bigger picture view (I couldn't see much of anything upstage the first time). Although I've seen the recording multiple times on Disney+, there's just nothing like seeing live theatre live. From this vantage I was able to see so much more of the set, including the double turntable. The ensemble is so incredibly active, providing texture in scenes and moving furniture pieces to suggest desktops and bars, and so much more, and the choreo is terrific, too! My biggest takeaway, however, is the exceptional lighting design, which has reached a new level since the initial staging nearly a decade ago. Nowhere was that more apparent than in "Satisfied,"when the rewind moment included a cinematic circle of images essentially being beamed up to the heavens. In other scenes, patterns were thrown around to paint various settings and establish locations in fast moving show. Another spectacular effect came when the lights rippled like water during the scene about the bay. The best scene of this performance was "The Room Where it Happens."While the lead vocals are good and the music energizing, it's the complete package that really makes the song work. Just outstanding ensemble work. Of course the performances of the principals were strong, even as we unfairly compare them to the studio produced soundtrack. No one is going to top Leslie Odom Jr.'s Aaron Burr, but this performance was good. Overall, each brought good characterization as well. The only real drawback was sound. At times, I had difficulty hearing some of the vocals, particularly the lower register for some of the men. I'm not sure if I was just in a sort of dead zone (mid-balcony, pretty much in the center) or if that was the experience throughout the theater. Overall, it's hard to top Hamilton for its overall theatricality. This is a strong incarnation of the production.
I was looking forward to this show for a long time. I was told to listen to the music before the show so I had a better understanding and familiarity with the show. I don’t know if it was the sound that night or the actor/s not being clear and projecting but I basically couldn’t understand the entire 1st act. It was so frustrating that I finally just tuned out. The second act the sound seemed a little better but the experience was terrible. I’ll never go back and see this show after that night. Very disappointed for what I paid for the tickets.
As usual the Chicago show brought Hamilton to life in the most amazing way. That's why I have returned time and again. Must see!
I got my daughter tickets for Christmas, and it turned out to be a gift for us both. The music and performances were extraordinary, and watching her face as she sang along to every song, well that was worth well over the price of the tickets.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like Hamilton due to the fact most of it would be “rap”. But as the play progressed and the story line developed I LOVED it! The actors all had phenomenal voices and were incredible actors. The thread of the story became clearer and the dancing and the singing and acting were beyond wonderful. The king was hysterical. I encourage everyone to go before it closes.
It was incredible!! Everything I thought it would be. I've seen it on Disney+ but to see all the actors, the extras, the lights . . . Amazing!!! The singing was out of this world!!
HAMILTON!! The cast is ANAZING. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because the sound was compromised.
I don’t have to fly to New York for broadway show. It was amazing. My favorite actor was the King.
I loved the show, but honestly, I forgot that I had been to the theater in the past, and they are literally the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in. It ruined the experience for my family and I having to sit with our legs squished up against the chair in front of us. You can’t even stretch out your feet. You have to sit at a 90° angle and the sound in the theater is not good. In addition, there are simply not enough bathrooms to accommodate the number of patrons in the theater. This made the intermission very long which was difficult considering going back to those awful seats was not easy. Very disappointing for 150 a seat.
