Goo Goo Dolls, a band that rose from the punk scene in Buffalo, New York, penned several of the most definitive hits of the ’90s. Forming in 1985, the Goo Goo Dolls experimented with hard rock before landing on a winning formula that incorporated elements of acoustic and alternative rock for 1995’s A Boy Named Goo. The album yielded the band’s first Billboard 200 chart placement at No. 27 and its unlikely third single “Name” climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1998, the band vaulted to global ubiquity with “Iris,” a ballad written for the City of Angels soundtrack that later ushered in their quintuple-platinum sixth album Dizzy up the Girl. The song remained atop the former Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for 18 weeks, a record that stood until 2020. The Goo Goo Dolls solidified their stratospheric success with the equally catchy follow-up single “Slide,” which hit No. 8 on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum itself. In 2002, Gutterflower earned the band their highest Billboard 200 peak at No. 4, while 2006’s Let Love In added more catalog highlights like “Better Days'' and a cover of Supertramp’s “Give a Little Bit.” Founding members Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac have toured extensively across the 2010s while maintaining a steady output of new projects, including 2019’s Miracle Pill and 2022’s self-produced Chaos in Bloom.

Sometimes bands sound much better in recordings than they do live but Goo Goo Dolls deliver in this live performance. They sound great live and their new music is worth buying. I'll be going out to get their next CD!
My husband and I enjoyed this show so much, I have seen then 3 times now and this was by far the best show!!! Our seats were amazing and the smaller theater made it much more personal... By far one of the best concerts we have ever been to! Please come back again soon guys!!! And the new music was great!

The lead singer came out and it almost sounded like he was confused about what he was doing for the first few seconds; my husband asked me if I thought he was drunk! They played many new songs from their upcoming album some of which were very good. I'd like to hear them again. I'd say they played around 6 songs from the past that everyone recognized but added some new twists to the way they sang them. Overall I'd give this show a B-.
The Goos were great not only musically, but were actually funny, as well! Loved the new stuff (Yes, we enjoyed being your "crash test dummies!) and can't wait for the new CD.
The show was great! The opening act was crappy, but the Goo Goo Dolls were spot on. I can't wait for their new release. The venue was intimate and the seats were perfect.

Very enjoyable show. The opening act complemented the headliner band very well. The band played at a manageable sound level (not too loud) and the band members seemed to connect with the audience; very down to earth. Applause needs to be given to the ushers and staff of the Kirby Center as well. Thank you for an enjoyable and unforgettable evening.
This was an incredible concert. I've been wanting to see them for a few years now and am so glad I went. They're songs are almost better live and they really engage the audience. I would love to see them again!

in German that is...lol...anyways the opening act was the Rocket Summer...Bryce was really good...however I wished he'd play more of his older songs...the new stuff kinda sucked hard. After the 20 minute intermission The Goo Goo Dolls came out they played very well and were overall entertaining...they played tons of old songs, popular and not so well known, and a few of their newer ones. Their part of the show ran for about 1.5 hours, if I'm not mistaken... Fun show...I'd see it again, if tickets weren't so expensive.

I can't even begin to tell you how great this show was! They are great. They sing well and play hard. The language was a bit salty in spots and I did see some little kids there. It was a wonderful night all the way around!
I've seen the goo goo dolls a few times and they always put on a kick ass show . The show was hi energy from the start .It was easy to see that they are still in to performing.They mixed their new songs into the show while still playing the standards. I'll definitely see these guys again.

The Goo Goo Dolls are back and worth the wait. Only a little more time till the new songs are out on the new release. Without taking a break, they went from hit to hit and gave us a taste of their new stuff from both John and Robbi. They looked and played at the top of their game. Having followed them from the old Allentown Fair Ground days, they are still very energized. We drove up and back from Philly and it was worth the trip.
The goo goo dolls were the best me&my husband had a great night out and would recommend any one who is a fan must see them live to enjoy their great talent and I can't forget how amazing Johnny still looks and sounds.
This is the 3rd time I saw the Goo Goo Dolls and they only get better everytime I see them. Did every song I wanted to hear and a few new ones that I also enjoyed.
