  • Legendary Performer

by Anaqah on 9/29/13The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Words cannot express how amazing this performer is. Gary Clark Jr. is a MASTER with the guitar, rivaling some of the great guitarist of all times. I have been following GCJ for a couple of years, thanks to KCRW, and could hardly wait for this concert. I saw him open for Dave Matthews Band in Irvine two weeks before this show. DMB also showcased his guitar skills during their cover of All Along the Watchtower. That performance is legendary IMHO and blows Hendrix (and Dylan) right out of the water. This concert was unbelievable. Gary Clark Jr made that guitar do things that others only dream of. His band was great but he was stunning. He personifies what a true musician and master of his craft is all about. I will be there in a heartbeat at his next concert. Do not miss him.

  • Very disappointing

The first 45 minutes sounded like a sound check. I've seen him several times before. This was not his best. Seemed tired.

Wide range of musical styles: blues, r&b , soul, rock, pop even doo wop! Not much of a stage presence ,Gary lets the music do the talking.

  • Wow!

"Rolling Stone" named Gary Clark, Jr., Best Young Gun in 2011, and I can see why. He made a quiet entrance, and then he laid it down for nearly two hours. His drummer, Johnny Radelat, was fun to watch too.

  • Nothing less than AMAZING

by Michemik on 8/12/13Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Can't lie about this being the best concert I've ever witnessed. Loved every minute. Gary Clark Jr killed it. Wish he would have played 2 songs, but overall I was still pleased with the set list. Who wouldn't be?

  • Gary Clark at the Cosmo!

Great show, fabulous venue. We have become recurrent customers at the Cosmo concert series because it's an awesome, small venue.

Gary Clark Jr. rocked the house. He played 1 slow song and said "enough of that" and had us moving the whole show.

Every musician in the band is so talented. The sound was on point. The Boulevard is one of my favorite venues and the weather was perfect.

Gary Clark, Jr.'s solos turn a good song from his CD into a mind altering experience live. Great to see him up close an in person. He looked like he was having as much fun as the audience was. Best part: there was nothing between me and his Fender amp.

I saw Gary Clark, Jr. at Bridge school and was impressed. Seeing him at the Fillmore playing electric left me feeling even more impressed. I would definitely see him again.

    by Mish21 on 11/7/12Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Gary Clark, Jr at the Bowery Ballroom on Monday night and Brooklyn Bowl on Tuesday night this week. Both shows were great. Go see him now in a small venue if you have the chance - he's going to get big.

  • Gary Clark Jr is the new Hendrix!

by murrayhighlife on 11/7/12Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This dude shreds! The show was incredible, enough that I went to see him the following night. Best part, he played a different set each night. He oozes with soul when he plays. Watching him create solos on stage is inspiring. I got to witness rock n roll history in the making. GO SEE HIM LIVE!!! The Bowery Ballroom is one of the best venues in NYC. Small, intimate, and great sound!

  • Gary shook the ballroom

by CSSdrums on 11/7/12Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

After briefly seeing Gary at Bonnaroo this past summer, and hearing his new album and other tracks, I had a decent idea what he was about, and what he was capable of. But seeing him in a setting like the Bowery Ballroom, my favorite venue in NYC, was unreal. His talent was on full, intimate display, and he clearly connected with everybody in the audience. I feel like this was one of those shows where, in 5-10 years, I'll be able to brag, and tell friends that, "I saw Gary in the Bowery Ballroom."

  • Gary clark jr. - Bowery Ballroom Nov 4 2012

    by andy212nyc on 11/6/12Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Gary delivered and got better and better as the evening progressed. I am in the camp of those feeling parts of his album sounded a bit overproduced, but performed live this eve they sounded a whole lot grittier ( than the recording ) and actually made for a nice contrast to his older material. Go Gary Go!

GCJ is one of the most talented musicians out there. The way he rips that guitar is unreal.
