  • Evening with friend

by Sharon MN on 4/21/22State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My friend and I had been talking about this for a few months. We really looked forward to the event. We admire Ms. Lebowitz and love her particular, often scathing and very humorous observations. She is a modern day Dorothy Parker. We were not disappointed. This has to be hard to do...depend on questions from the audience but she did it with laughter and honesty. A very fun and entertaining evening. Well done.

  • It was okay

by Tay on 4/18/22Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The show itself was a bit sad just because the audience in Indiana really didn't ask a lot of good questions for Fran to answer. It felt a little rushed too. I also don't need so many reminders regarding my show from Ticketmaster. I like a few but there seemed to be a dozen that week leading up to it. I would see her again but probably in a real city

  • Funny & educational too

by BethAnn on 4/17/22State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Fran is terrific. The seats in the State Theater are too narrow & close together. Enjoyed learning about some artists & writers I had not encountered before.

  • Loved her but sound was terrible!

by Jackson on 4/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

Heard only half of what was said and hardly any questions from audience. This was a shame since the facility/sound has the potential to correct this. The person next to me purposely wore their hearing aids for a slight hearing deficit and missed most of all said. Fran was terrific. Thanks for bringing her to Indy.

  • Good laughs and insight

    by D. R. on 4/17/22Rating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I were so glad we caught Fran in Minneapolis. We tried to see her in NYC and it sold out so fast! Absolutely recommend seeing her if you can. We loved it. I will say the State Theater in Mpls seemed a little disorganized. They should have provided a microphone to guests who were asking Fran questions!

  • Fran was Fran and that's a good thing.

by Junebug on 4/17/22State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Funny, acerbic, warm underneath a cover of cynicism. I didn't care for her comments about Biden who is working so hard for all of us. But as I told my wife, she's a smart funny woman, not an oracle. It was a good night.

  • Fantastic show

by Pat 16 on 4/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Fran was fantastic and the venue was perfect. It was a wonderful, funny evening with a funny, intelligent and perceptive woman.

  • Class Act

by CCIndy on 4/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

A shame the crowd did not fill the lower level, but was not surprised given there was hardly any advertising. Just happen stance I even found out. None the less, Fran was not deterred, did a q and a then opened up to the audience to which her comedic genius came from ordinary questions from the public.

  • Where was the sound check guy?

by Sharon on 4/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

Fran was great but Clowes Hall was not! Why were no microphones used when taking questions from the audience? Even the speaker was unable to hear! The mic that was used for the interview portion of the program must have been on the lowest volume. Our seats were in row F and we had difficulty hearing. Can't imagine how the audience in the balcony could have heard at all.

  • Like laughing with friends

by Jennifer on 4/17/22State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a fun night. Fran is so naturally hilarious and took the time after to sign books. Not only is she funny, but she is just a kind person. Loved it.

Fran Lebowitz was hilarious and thought provoking!

  • I only wish that everyone I know could have been there

So smart, so funny, so quick, so intuitive. I wish she were my friend.

  • Love Fran

    by Cheryl2914 on 4/16/22Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Fran Lebowitz was everything one would expect her to be. She is so well informed about current and past events. No one has to guess what Fran is thinking - she will tell you. I was very excited to see Fran in person and was not disappointed.

  • Fran Lebowitz was the BEST!!

by Krivet on 4/15/22Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I enjoyed seeing Fran Lebowitz at The Town Hall in NYC!!! She did a terrific job and was her true (public) self.

  • Fran

by Missouri Girl on 4/13/22Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing night with the amazing Fran Lebowitz! The venue was perfect and one thing that made it perfect were the staff of the venue! Outside and inside the theater...they were great! And...thank you for the safety precautions - very important - even now. Nobody was complaining, we were just all there for a wonderful evening with Fran! Thank you!

  • A very fun, special evening

    by K. S. on 4/10/22Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I love Fran Lebowitz and her wry sensibility almost as much as Martin Scorcese does. The man was convulsed at almost every word that came out of her mouth, which made us laugh even harder.

  • No one like her

by SusieQ on 4/10/22Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

As always she is amazingly on the money on how she sees the world, or at least she sees it like I do and can articulate it in a very humorous way. Loved seeing Martin Scorsese too, a treat to honor as well.

  • Fran Lebowitz’s talks never disappoints

by Milz on 4/9/22Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Town Hall is the perfect venue! Intimate and cozy as an savvy Salon with a most sophisticated and receptive audience was on point. Of course the time flew.

  • Hugely Disappointing

by Yawbus on 4/7/22Rating: 1 out of 5

If your idea of fun is to hear a foaming-at-the-mouth left-wing screed mixed with either unoriginal observations (babies shouldn't be allowed on planes because they cry a lot) or unimaginative musings (NYC has lots of rats), then this is a show for you.

  • An Absolute Pleasure

    by J. V. on 3/13/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Insight given with utmost intelligence & humor, you can't go wrong spending an evening with Fran. She's dubbed our time's Dorothy Parker/Oscar Wilde for a reason & is a real treat.
