About "Horizons"

World-renowned physicist Professor Brian Cox brings his immersive live experience, "Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey," to North America.

"Horizons" takes us on a dazzling cinematic journey. A story of how we came to be and what we can become.

The deepest of questions will be explored using the latest advances in our understanding of quantum theory, black holes, biology, planetary science, astronomy and cosmology. Using state-of-the-art LED screen technology, venues will be filled with images of far-away galaxies, alien worlds, supermassive black holes and a time before the Big Bang.

"Horizons" is a celebration of our civilization, of our music, art, philosophy and science; an optimistic vision of our future if we continue to explore Nature with humility and to value ourselves and our fellow human beings. Brian will once again be joined by co-host of The Infinite Monkey Cage and award-winning comedian Robin Ince, perhaps the only collection of sentient atoms in the observable Universe capable of overseeing a Q&A with an audience of 10,000 people while wearing an old cardigan.

    A Bright Future

by J Scotillo on 7/1/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

It is always enlightening to listen to Brian’s interpretations of the cosmos. It was especially entertaining seeing him in real life. Thank you Brian for bringing your lecture to Texas. With all the depressing news in our world today Brian paints a beautiful bright future of discovery. Looking forward to your next visit.

A bit smarty smarty but fun comic relief in between the brain twisters of info Not being a mathematician, the equations Will a bit of a stretch for me but the black hole and space info was really really cool Great graphics and totally entertaining

    ASTOUNDED!

by K. Mac. on 6/27/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

I've watched numerous documentaries featuring Professor Cox and find him an amazing communicator and socializer of scientific principles! This presentation was no different! The visuals, and his interaction with them, helped paint vivid images in support of his topics! I find black holes terribly interesting! I respect Professor Cox so much because he never presents scientific theories as simply facts that we all must accept! Rather, he presents the theory like this, "We think that...., but we're not sure." This builds my confidence in him and the points he's conveying! TOTAL and 100% respect for the man! Would love to have been able to meet him to tell him this personally!

Huge fan of Prof Cox, but…

by Nick on 6/27/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

We left during intermission. This is a true lecture that simply isn’t for the general crowd. Maybe not a university level lecture but very far from the interesting tv show type presentations prof Cox is loved for, and what everyone knows him for. Robin Ince joined 25 min in to wake up the crowd with some much needed humor. Still a huge fan of prof Cox and I’m happy I got to see him but I think this show needs to be lightened up a bit.

    Never stop learning

by Jeff on 6/26/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

Brian Cox filled the talk with many updates on the universe, and black holes. As always he delivers in language we can understand, the images displayed were tremendously well done, and the evening was a complete success!

Saw show in Dallas. Excellent presentation. Super well attended by a complete cross section of people. Asked if there were any Mathmeticians or Biologists in the crowd. None! But did not ask about Chemists?! What?! Very well done! Cheers

    Outstanding “Show”

by Drew on 6/26/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - Dallas

With the graphics and videos it was much more than a lecture. Professor Cox has a great way of explaining very advanced theory in layman’s terms so the entire audience can understand. I’ve read all of his books, and will attend other events! Very entertaining and informative!
