  • Eric Benet is amazing

by Sxyrdtlw on 10/11/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Not only is he very nice to look at but he has a voice that can charm the stripes off a zebra. It was a wonderfully intimate show and I loved it!! I thought he sounded good on a CD, but he sounds even better live! I could listen to him croon all night and he has a wonderful personality!!! Please have him back very, very soon!! And yiu should sell some VIP tickets to see him backstage and maybe have the chance to have dinner with him. Just an idea!!!

  • Suprise

I am not a fan of Bric Benet, but he can sing his butt off. It was a good show

  • Amazing show!

by sunstar on 10/11/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Eric Benet has the most wonderful voice and exceptional vocal control. He has great stage presence and a really good sense of humor. My friends and I truly enjoyed every bit of his performance and the band was awesome as well (The guitarist has a great voice also). Had a great time and can't wait to see him again.

  • Benet wowed the crowd.

by RajProv on 10/11/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Eric Benet is probably one of the most underrated stars of R&B. His powerful voice has range from a sultry bass to a spine tingling falsetto. His walk back down memory lane included material from his new album which easily won over the crowd. Forgotten songs and collaborations had everyone saying "I remember that song!" Covers of seminal favorites such as "What you won't do for Love" showed how diverse of an artist he can be.

  • Eric was wonderful

Eric provided an enjoyable and memorable performance. He is an exemplary entertainer and I would go see him again anywhere.

  • The Eric Benet concert was awesome!

by Songberd on 10/11/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

He sounded amazing and performed some of my fave! That was my first time seeing him live, though I have been a fan for years. Would go back to see him anytime. You could tell he was having a good time and that's what I love to see.

  • A true performer. . .

by Midnightsunree on 10/11/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Who needs an opening act? Not Eric Benet. Is it possible that someone can sound better than his record? Yes, if you've experienced this man's live performance you know it's true. Amazing vocals, wonderful stage presence and all you could want from a concert for those who truly appreciate real music. E.B, I am a true fan. *Smile*

This was an incredible event. Eric Benet is such a great entertainer and lyricist. I enjoyed every minute of the show, I could have listened to him all night!! I wish the show was a little longer.

  • Eric Benet is the MAN!

by Jesuschrist1 on 10/11/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

I really did enjoyed this show! It started right on time and it was filled with material that was very well performed. This guy has incredilbe range and talent. As a man myself I found it touching when he spoke of his early years ( 16 years old ) and how he was lost for words and did not have a clue around the girls.By opening up that way he let me know that despite the fact that he is a handsome and talented guy, that he is really just one of us.I don't think that I am alone in my feelings concerning this matter as I know that most of us guys if we are honest were just like that. overall I found the concert better than I had imagined that it would be. I took my wife to this concert as a part of a night out together. I know that she had a great time!

  • Eric Benet & Howard Hewitt AN Awesome Combination!

by itsmesowhatofit on 9/21/09Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The upbeat jams of Howard Hewitt were off the chain! My only critique is he sang a lot of Shalamar. I wanted to hear Howard's stuff! Eric Benet was great, as well, but he needed to do more jams off the Hurricane CD. All in all, this concert was a good way to meet the ladies and chill!

    >Ruben Studdard's performance was good but he didnt sing to many of his own songs. He did more Luther tune. That was ok but would have preferred Ruben's hits better! >Eric Benet was GREAT!! But I would love for him to have had a full band with the background singers ...instead of just the keyboard, bass player, and drummer. But would have preferred Eric to have been LAST to perform! Not second.... >Mint Condition was a bit of a disappointment! The sound was too loud....They playd more to themselves....it was if they were in their basement not a the DAR! They only played one song that they were known for the others were not good (They did not even play "Pretty Brown Eyes")...I was not pleased about that...MC should have been second...

by Sibyline on 8/16/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Reuben was very good. Eric Benet was too but I was very upset that he had no back up singers nor band. I totally did not enjoy Mint Condition. Very disappointed.

  • mint condition was terrible

by quietwayne on 8/16/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Ruben Studdard was good, Eric Benet wasthe best artist, he put on a very good show. But Mint Condition was terrible. They sounded like a rock band & members were missing. what happened to Kerry Washington (keyboards)? Were they mad at the Promoter? The only time a band plays like that is when they're on drugs or the money wasn't right.

  • MINT CONDITION WAS OUTSTANDING!!!

by LANABOO on 8/14/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

REUBEN STUDDARD WAS FANTASTIC! TRULY ENDJOYED HIM; MINT CONDITION WAS OUTSTANDING AS ALWAYS! ERIC BENET WAS GOOD!

  • Ruben was awesome!

by Kamar on 8/13/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show! I really enjoyed Ruben Studdard. His voice and stage presence is absolutely wonderful! Eric Benet was great, too. It would be nice to see him with back-up singers instead of listening to recorded background voices. The recorded voices kind of takes away from the grove. Mint Condition ended the show on a high note. They have such big energy. I was surprised of the low attendance. I guess Sunday shows are not popular in DC.

  • Ruben was the bomb!!!!!!!

by lilbutch on 8/13/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

I don't know why Ruben went on first; I guess 'cause he's the newest, but for me and my husband he was the best of all the artist. Mint Condition played rock music half the night and then their new song and finished Pretty Brown Eyes and that was the end of the show. Eric Benet was very good. I didn't know he was so funny. I think he connected with the audience well. We could have done without Mint Condition all together. But we really wanted more Ruben! I think everybody did. I will definately make sure he is the headliner next time I see him or just with one other person.

  • High energy from all performers

by Nilac on 8/12/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Even though Ruben's sound guy was messing up, he give a wonderful performance. Eric came out next and continue to hold it down with some old songs which he forgot the words too and some of the new songs including Chocolate Legs. And the main act Mint Condition was all over the stage, they were very enterianing but may need some kind of rehab program.

  • Eric Benet did his thang!

by CSanders on 8/12/09Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Any time an artist sings his current hit, as the 3rd song of the show, you know the concert is going to be strong. That is the confidence Eric Benet had with himself and his show. He did his thang for an hour and never disappointed. He kept me moving, snapping my fingers and nodding my head. He is a TRUE performer and OH SO REAL!

  • I Luv Mint Condition!

by Slwone on 8/12/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Mint Condition was exceptional...set was too short

  • Expecting More

    by Javi1917 on 8/12/09Dar Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Although overall the show was good. I had some problems with a few things. First of all I felt that Mint condition should have opened up seeing that they are the least popular group. They did not even sing the two most popular hits. Eric Benet was excellent as usual. Ruben's singing was great, but his band sucked. I am a big Ruben fan. I felt bad that he did not have the band he he deserves to back him up. Anyway I still enjoyed his performance. I think he should fire them all and get a knew band to keep his reputation good. I did not like the way the y sang ten songs before interacting with the audience either. All 3 acts were very talented and I would see Ruben and Eric Benet again , but Mint Condition really dissappointed me. They changed their style and people are used to the old style and that is what we came to see. they were played rock and roll which is fine if that was what one was expecting, but it wasn't. I would have given this show four stars on the performances of Ruen Studdard and Eric Benet, but I cannot bring myself to do it honesly. I was a little dissappointed which in my many years has never happened.
