Go here if you wanna mosh to old bands you missed out on, or hear a mix of obscure and popular music. (I was surprised they played Chiodos!) Great music and great crowd! People would stop the moshing if someone dropped something and make sure they got it back.
Great event, great music, great time. But they didn't play The Black Parade. How can you call yourself emo and not play the song of our people.
Had a great time and it was fun to see people having fun on stage! My anxiety could never let me do that. Sad the host couldn’t make it on time sooner but he had great energy so the little time he had he killed!
Definitely a fun event, but there was more pop punk than emo played! I had fun and would attend another one. Just don’t get into the pit because there was 0 pit etiquette from those in attendance.
I tried this club and it wasn't for me, but it was a fantastic club with a great environment.
And those people were straight white dudes But like, where was the Green Day greatest hits? Fall Out Boy? blink-182? Hell, My Chemical Romance?! They played ONE Paramore song, which the crowd went crazy for so like GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT. Even worse, there was a whole DJ set up on the stage, but I swear they were just clicking off Spotify (and not from the Emo Nite playlist either so idk what they were doing sorry to that man) The songs weren’t meshed together at all, and worse, they just talked nonsense between songs.
Emo nite is not just for people who consider themselves "emo", its for everyone and anyone who just wants to go out and get away from it all for a night and just sing your lungs out! I know i do every time i go to Emo Night. I Love it so much! I just cant enough of it! Its so much fun to just hang out with friends or make new ones in the crowd because everyone is always so friendly, well most of them are. But you'll always catch me up in the pit, singing along to all our favorite old school emo songs no matter what haha.
so slay, love it. def something you gotta experience at least once. austin is the best dj!
My biggest issue was doors opened at 9 but nothing really started until 10:15 which was a little disappointing because my group wasn’t able to stay very long. Another thing was the lack of variety in the music like don’t get me wrong there was a lot of good songs but there was so many missed opportunities like get scared or the used.
Was a fire time, tho a little sad it ended earlier in the night than previously. They also had a ring light for selfies before and not this time. Still loved it v much and appreciated the free water as always
I was blown away at the selection of music! They had a little bit of everything, I highly suggest attending the next one! only downside was it tool an hour for the actual "EMO" music to start. During that first hour it just felt like a regular hip-hop club. Drinks are stupidly expensive ($12 for a beer!) ($2 dollars FOR WATER) Do what I did and drink before you come! Other than the highway robbery, the night was blast!!
Of course I liked the music. But they basically just played a Spotify playlist with zero DJing attempts. They had multiple “DJs” rotating through but they seemed to just be randos pulled in stage to jump around while the same DJ managed the volume knob. Much overhyped for this big national tour/company. I wouldn’t go again to this particular one
Everything about Emo Nite is just one big party jamming out to all of the old favorites with some new age music thrown in the mix too. Their new club set was so killer I hope it becomes an entire tour. The way they reimagined emo music to give it a new way to dance to is exciting and entertaining! Keep up the fun mash-ups.
So much fun to dance and sing my lungs out to classic pop punk bangers. A member of Mayday Parade joined as the surprise guest and played Jersey acoustic and Miserable at Best. I cried. GO.
The Summit is way too small to have this event at at this point. It is PACKED.
Music was great and did not have any type of negative experience with anyone or anything there.
This was my first time going to EMO Nite at Bogarts in Cincinnati. I'm used to going to huge raves with EDM music. Typically I'm used to there being free water stations throughout the venue at these raves/EDM dance parties. I was shocked there wasn't any at this venue. After dancing most of the night in a sweaty hot crowd I wanted to be able to step away and get some water towards the end. I went to the bar at the end of the night and all bar tenders were gone except one! I was absolutely PARCHED, and so were a few others. I asked the one bartender fora glass of water and she said, "sorry I don't give that here, go upstairs." I said, "there is no one upstairs." She said "then there is no water, sorry." Like....????? You have a water fountain hose on your soda dispenser. Oh well. That's my one complaint. Otherwise it was good.
Music selection was not as expected. All the pop songs I despised on the radio were played, while we were encouraged to sing along.
We’ve been to Emo Nite multiple times and it’s always a great time. Austin does a fantastic job of hyping up the crowd.
