yasssssssssssssssss so fun yassssssssssssss super fun
Music was mostly pop alternative. Not really emo music. It was like an 8th grade dance hosted by a failed frontman. My advice, play actual emo music and stop acting like you’re doing something that takes talent. Making money off other people’s music is messed up and anyone can turn the volume down on a song and shout the lyrics. 0/5 waste of money.
Fantastic event and party! Will be coming to the next Emo Nite for sure
They played rap for the first hour so I ended up waiting outside because it was too annoying. It was ok, but for $10 a drink and low volume music, I should have just had a dance party for free with my friends elsewhere.
This is my my first concert with a health check and they actually did check then they checked for 21+ for drinks and they had custom drinks for the event named after emo songs which was fun. The only thing that was a little annoying was the crowd jumped onto the stage as soon as it started so when the special guest came out nobody could see him until he left the stage and join the crowd.
According to staff the venue was oversold and it took two hours past doors opening to even get in. Once in, it was fine but with everything going on it was uncomfortable being packed in such a small space. DJs were great, Live Nation/Bogart's get your stuff together.
I absolutely loved it! It felt as if everyone was a teenager again and they played really good hits. Definitely want to go again!
Every song that you heard in middle schools and high school was played!! the mosh pits were insane! the crowd was wild! my little emo heart was on fire! and the black parade was lit! the drinks were decent nine bucks for rum and coke merch was alright they had stickers which was great! the tombstone inflatable was sick! if you're gonna go make sure it's with a decent crowd and keep an eye on everyone especially if they're newbies and don't know how to mosh they could get injured
For the most part of the night some more mainstream music was playing. I understand the need to set a mood but the mood was killed often but the staff was awesome and most songs were spot on for the event. I was glad to get out and enjoy the night
Getting on stage and singing and belting songs from my sad days in high school was the BOMB
Had such a great time at Emo Nite! Wish they would bring it to Greenville, SC next.
Thanks to Snapchat videos, I can tell it was a fun night. Great drinks and awesome people
I had a great time jamming out with my friends. The energy of the crowd at the beginning of the show was great, and it was exciting to wait and see what the next guest DJs would play. After a while, though, the energy in the room died down as what seemed like "all" of our favorite songs were on repeat. It didn't seem like the main DJs double checked to make sure none of the songs overlapped/repeated. Over all, Emo Nite was a fun time, definitely worth going to at least once, but expect to hear the same songs played over and over again.
no need to say more but i lived my best life at emo nite 🤟🏻
it was a lot of fun and we stayed and danced until the end BUT there was some obvious miscommunication among d.j's as the same song was sometimes played three times. the killer's inst even emo and we heard mr. brightside way too many times. we needed "take this to you grave" fall out boy. we needed more the used, more my chemical romance, senses fail, bayside. "down" and "i miss you" blink 182. at least a little "konstantine" and "punk rock princes" something corporate. and most of all MORE HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS. but overall it was great and worth the price of admission.
We all love music singing in our car, but there's something about a crowd singing the words at the top of their lungs that has a unifying feeling. Just a bunch of people enjoying music that often isn't included in clubs and parties. Great songs. Very cool to know your favorite band members are choosing the songs too. It was a little tiring after the concert, but that isn't the event's fault.
After the Mayday Parade set, the guys from The Maine AND Microwave came as guests to DJ the after party. It was such a fun time, I’ll be proud to say that I went to the first ever Sad Summer of ‘19. Definitely need to come again if they do it again next summer.
