DR SEUSS’ HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is the record-setting Broadway sensation which features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, as this sparkling production breathes new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. Don’t miss what The New York Times calls “AN EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE! 100 times better than any bedtime story.”
The show would have been excellent had they not allowed any snacks in the theater. The crinkle noise of snack bags was overpowering the musical.
Wonderful from beginning to end. Would see it again. Seats were great.. ticket prices were very good.. a nice change
A great Christmas Musical of my favorite childhood story. Performers did a great job. Highly recommend this for The Grinch fans. Hope to see it again in the future. It was a fun show.
The show was wonderful, brilliantly done. Old Max was great and Grinch’s interaction with the audience was hilarious. I definitely recommend seeing this show.
Took the whole family. My small children loved the entire show. The performance of all the performers was top notch.
Excellent performance! They did a great job of turning a cartoon into a musical. The actors that played the Grinch and Cindy Lou were phenomenal!
The theater was way to cold it made it uncomfortable to enjoy the show The show is 95 minutes with no intermission We stayed for about 45 minutes but had to leave because like I said It was to cold, they wouldn’t allow us to drink the $9 hot chocolate inside
The whole cast was great. From Grinch who was funny, Max endearing, and Cindy Lou who was the cutest! The pace was good and was glad it was just 1.5 hrs long so that it wasn’t so late for my daughter who had to go to school the next day. Really got us into the holiday spirit!
It was great fun! The cast did a fantastic job. We really enjoyed the evening. Only down side- the theater’s air conditioning was too cold.
It was great! Excellent performance. My son enjoyed it. He was a little scared at first ... that's how good the Grinch's character was. I hope the show returns to the DPAC next year because Ilook forward to returning next year.
Being at the Pantages is an experience in itself! Beautiful theatre. The production used the stage wonderfully with great sets, good lighting and perfect audio levels. From beginning to end the cast were positioned in ways that engaged and delighted the senses. The music was accompanied by a live orchestra, with the vocal presentation striking a chord that, at times, exclaiming out loud. Special shout-out to the Grinch whose antics were well-placed to add humour without being over-the-top. This is a must-see show no matter how old you are!
Not a bad seat in the house. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance .
So I took my Sister to see the Grinch musical and we absolutely loved it. It was fun, interactive, and the performances along with the stage art was amazing! I would go again because we enjoyed it that much!
It was even better than a bad banana with a Greasy black peel.
It was truly a great show. My 8 year old enjoyed it and didn’t fall asleep!
The narrator of the story was hard to hear and we were located in the middle front section so not too far away. The show didn't really draw you in. It didn't have those pops of humor like other shows we have been to. Not worth the drive and money. Will skip this show in future years.
The show was great! A refreshing look at the "Grinch"! Love the original grinch and I loved this as much!!
The show was great and so we're the drinks. Only complaint is that we were led down the wrong section but other than that we were very pleased.
We really enjoyed the Grinch Who Stole Christmas musical. Loved the way it was narrated by the older version of Max, the dog. Our only issue was the snow seemed to make us hoarse after the musical and the lighting towards the end really affected us. We have never had an issue with flashing lighting but for some reason with the amount of fog along with the lighting made our group feel somewhat off kilter; however, that wouldn't prevent me from recommending the musical. All the costumes and props were really colorful along with some unique & different songs. I was afraid a lot of kids would be disruptive but their laughter just added to our enjoyment!!
Show was kind of boring. It had some funny parts but did not hold my attention at all. Disappointed.
