DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is the record-setting Broadway sensation which features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, as this sparkling production breathes new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. Don't miss what The New York Times calls "AN EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE! 100 times better than any bedtime story."
Awesome show!! Entertaining. Very festive. Would recommend better parking and accommodations for those with physical disabilities.
It was a good production. The grinch was a little different than I was expecting. He even was a little scary. I thought the music was great. I loved the snow and confetti at the end.
It was a great experience. The audience engagement was the best. Would absolutely see it again!!
Entertaining and delightful. Upbeat and fun. Cast very talented.
I was disappointed with Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical (Touring) due to how much it deviated from the original story that so many of us cherish. While I understand that adaptations often make changes, this version altered the core message and heart of the tale. The focus shifted far too much onto Max the dog, sidelining the real essence of the story. In the original, Cindy Lou Who questions the overwhelming commercialization of Christmas, seeking its true meaning. Through her compassion, she reaches out to the Grinch—someone shunned for being different—and teaches him the transformative power of love and acceptance. However, in this musical, that meaningful arc was almost entirely lost. While I did enjoy the costumes, new songs, and audience interaction, the storytelling fell flat. The ending, in particular, felt incredibly rushed—the Grinch’s redemption was glossed over in a matter of minutes. The addition of unnecessary characters and moments, while cutting the most pivotal elements of the original story, was baffling and, frankly, insulting to fans of Dr. Seuss's work. If the production team chose to incorporate songs from the original movie, why not remain faithful to its message too? The entire retelling felt forced and misguided. I strongly believe this version should not be performed again until it reflects the heart and spirit of the beloved classic.
I expected better, the grinch costume was like 100 years old, the color was off and just not like grinch. Just felt like something was missing : something was off Wouldn’t recommend
Everything you could want from a Christmas show! Fantastic music, beautiful costumes, great talent! Super enjoyable !
We had a great time seeing the Grinch play. It was very entertaining. The Grinch character was making everybody laugh, young and old. It was 90 minutes straight with no intermission, which has its pros and cons of course. Overall, it was a great experience over the holiday season.
Was very basic, the characters music and songs were not what we expected. The movie was way much better
The show had you fully engaged from start to finish, and was very fun and different from all the rest. Had a blast and hope they bring it back next year.
We took our great nieces ages seven and nine. We had such a wonderful time. They loved every second of the play. As did we. It was so much fun spending this time with them.
It was a great show especially actor that played the grinch he was very talented!!! We had a great time!!!
Loved the show. Very thorough from beginning to end. Whoville and everyone’s costumes, stage was on point.
I was expecting it to be more like the movie. To me the show was not as entertaining as I had hoped. The free show at universal was more fun
We were excited for this event as a family to celebrate Christmas. However, after about 20 minutes, it was so chaotic and noisy. We ended up leaving early.
We were given these tickets as a gift and were delighted with the quality of the production from top to bottom. The Grinch was excellent and the entire ensemble was too. Loves the costumes and sets - all very appropriately stylized for Suess’ characters.
It was a cute show. I didn’t like how the story was changed and some songs were different. Set was ok. I would give it a C overall.
Show was ok, theater too big for the sound and visual of the show
The grinch was absolutely fantastic ! Everything was so good! Wish we could go again!
The overall performance was great Could of had better costumes and props A nice show for the holidays
