DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is the record-setting Broadway sensation which features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, as this sparkling production breathes new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. Don't miss what The New York Times calls "AN EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE! 100 times better than any bedtime story."
It was even better than a bad banana with a Greasy black peel.
It was truly a great show. My 8 year old enjoyed it and didn’t fall asleep!
The narrator of the story was hard to hear and we were located in the middle front section so not too far away. The show didn't really draw you in. It didn't have those pops of humor like other shows we have been to. Not worth the drive and money. Will skip this show in future years.
The show was great! A refreshing look at the "Grinch"! Love the original grinch and I loved this as much!!
The show was great and so we're the drinks. Only complaint is that we were led down the wrong section but other than that we were very pleased.
We really enjoyed the Grinch Who Stole Christmas musical. Loved the way it was narrated by the older version of Max, the dog. Our only issue was the snow seemed to make us hoarse after the musical and the lighting towards the end really affected us. We have never had an issue with flashing lighting but for some reason with the amount of fog along with the lighting made our group feel somewhat off kilter; however, that wouldn't prevent me from recommending the musical. All the costumes and props were really colorful along with some unique & different songs. I was afraid a lot of kids would be disruptive but their laughter just added to our enjoyment!!
Show was kind of boring. It had some funny parts but did not hold my attention at all. Disappointed.
This was an absolutely magical night. The adaptation of the Grinch to this wonderful stage play/musical was enchanting. The players were awesome. We were just dumbfounded at the skills of little children. I purchased tickets for myself and my brother and his wife for my brother’s birthday. We were in need of wheelchair accessible seats and were able to secure the ones on second floor. it was like we were in a world of our own. The view was perfect. We were comfortable. The seats were comfortable and the time just flew by. The staff at the venue were amazing. Very helpful very upbeat. Lots of smiles.
This play was great! Absolutely loved it! Now, one of my favorites. The lead actor playing the Grinch was a local graduate from Greensboro & he did such a good job. The actors, set designs & costumes were some of the best I've seen. Such an enjoyable play! Loved, loved, loved it!
I took my son who has Downs Syndrome we absolutely loved it. Thank you 😊
Definitely captured the essence and nostalgia of the original, while adding enough new twists to be interesting. Well done.
This show was absolutely brilliant… from sets to costumes to lighting, it was wonderful!
The actor portraying the grinch was good and the actors portraying max were good. For the most part you could understand everyone.
FABULOUS show- especially for kids. Not having to deal with an intermission was especially important when there were so many kids in the audience.
Once again, our family thoroughly enjoyed an evening at the Tanger Center! How the Grinch Stole Christmas was great fun and got everyone into the Christmas spirit. Nice touches, like green drinks, helped make it special. And the Tanger staff always do a wonderful job: friendly, helpful, and attentive!
The Grinch musical was superb. Tanger is very nice. However, the layout of the auditorium is not easy to move around, say for a bathroom break or it would be hard to leave abruptly in an emergency. There is no aisle parallel to seats on front row. Everyone has to step over other guests to cross over to the exit door.
We took our 4-year-old granddaughter last Saturday. She loved it & just seeing her looks so amazed was worth the cost of the tickets. I had picked her a Grinch earlier to give to her after the musical & of course had to watch the original & read her the book when we got home. I am a season seat holder & love making memories with my family.
The talent, the timing, the audience involvement. It was a wonderfully fun production. We took our special needs son & grandchildren - they all loved it & sang along.
We loved the Grinch. The guy playing the Grinch was amazing and Max the dog was cute. Cindy Lou Who was adorable and we thought the whole cast did an amazing job. Highly recommend!
The Tanger Center is an amazing venue with the best support staff. The musical was everything we imagined and more. The actors were fabulous and offered a very interactive event for everyone!
