Inspiring all to live a life worth living! Dr. Peterson message is a profound gift in helping move our fractured selves and communities toward well-being.
Listening to him in real life is completely different than listening to him on his podcast, it is surreal.
Huge fan going into lecture, still fan but disappointed in overall tone of it. His cheerful daughter even tried to encourage him to lighten up and with some snowball audience questions. "Why do you love your wife?". Answer "I dont know?" Which leads to his state of mind going into the night. Anyone can appreciate his intellectual complexity but good grief..... Enlighten us a little....
Once we got in, it was a great event. Dr. Peterson is a conscientous proponent of thinking, right, living right, doing right and providing environments where equal opportunities, not equal outcomes, should be the norm. He was thoughtful, clear, challenging and encouraging. He made us think and he made us want to take action. I would go to another Peterson event in a heartbeat.
A great lecture! Dr. Peterson presented a great deal of information in an engaging way. Looking forward to seeing him in person again
It was a great event, lecture, etc. I need more of this type of interaction, where instead of short bits/bites it was 90 minutes of intense listening, followed by 20 minute Q & A. Every word had meaning and you didn't dare wander off into your own thoughts because you would miss what was said next. It was a unique experience to listen/observe a brilliant person think out-loud. All the while a mix of deep thought provoking/enlightening narrative and a sprinkling of humor. Tammy Peterson (wife) opened the show, and came back on stage afterwards during the Q & A session, where she read questions from the attendees to Dr Peterson. During her opening segment she shared her personal thoughts and feelings regarding her fight with cancer, and how it related to the night's topic: Chapter 11 - Do not allow yourself to become resentful, deceitful, or arrogant. Can't wait for the video to be posted so I can watch again!
Once again Jordan Peterson knocks it out of the park. His practical explanations of human behavior coupled with his vast knowledge and clinical experience mesmerize the listener. His articulate delivery and wealth of detailed knowledge on a wide array of subjects give hope to anyone who chooses to listen in a world increasingly polluted by SJWs and Marxist idealogues.
Incredible experience. Jordan Peterson (first time seeing him live) gave me and the audience his thoughts and ideas on his 11th rule from his Beyond Order book. It was filled with new insights, revelations, and was thought provoking from the very beginning to the conclusion. His Q&A was intimate and brought forth plenty of laughs.
I’ve been a JBP listener and reader for years, and tremendously enjoyed his lecture on Rule 11 on 4/3 in Detroit. He covered many different topics that he was able to connect extremely well into a powerful conclusion that earned a standing ovation from the crowd. The lecture was really engaging and I wish I could have recorded it. The Q&A was also great, he provided really thoughtful and in-depth answers to the questions posed; wish that section could’ve been longer. Really enjoyed this lecture and would’ve recommended it to any JBP reader
I want to preface this review by saying that I’ve been reading and listening to JBP for years; I value his work tremendously and believe he’s a fantastic person that has helped improve my life and those of countless others. That said, his lecture on 4/5 in Grand Rapids on Rule 12 was seriously disappointing. The event started over an hour late, and the material in his lecture was very similar to and not nearly as engaging as his lecture just two nights prior (which I greatly enjoyed). The Q&A was good, I wish it could’ve been longer. Giving a rating this low was really hard considering how long I’ve looked up to this guy. I still really like hi, just found this particular event to be somewhat inferior to his fantastic body of work and even his previous lecture.
I find JP's intellect among the best but the recent Detroit appearance was mostly flat. The Q&A section was good. I wished the whole show was just that. I may have been expecting more than he can deliver. This is the hardest time I've had giving a two star.
Dr Peterson has been very impactful on me. His messages just seem to hit home almost all the time. I’ve been following him for several years, but this was my first live show. Well worth it.
But a bit underwhelming considering the title was beyond order. The assumption was that beyond order could lead to an in depth discussion about the world, where it’s been and where it could be headed and how best to navigate it in these times we face. Instead we were given romance and sexual advice for a couple of hours. There were comedic bits here and there and he started down a path of psychological evaluation regarding children but it quickly went back to marriage counseling. I’m more fond of his discussions with other people. But all in all it was really nice to see him! He’s been through a lot. Put himself out in the limelight where everyone’s scopes can be dialed in and their sights set on him. That’s got to be very taxing and then once he’s said something there will be people who have to take it all out of context etc etc. I appreciate him immensely and I hope he continues with this type of performance. We would definitely go see him again but I’d hope the show had a bit more depth. I know he’s plenty capable of better shows.
Message was great and on a topic I would not have expected
Dr. Peterson gave a fantastic presentation, full of great advice, insight and humor. He has a unique way of reducing life's biggest problems to their core and dissolving them with common sense. He endorses ideals that improve people and helpful to improve society.
Amazing speaker. Loved the show. Would definitely recommend!
Was it funny to watch people squirm while Dr. Peterson addressed issues attacking marriages today? Yes, yes it was. I squirmed, too. But I left better for it, and I’ll go again and again to hear what I need to hear not what I want.
Dr. Peterson was fantastic. He was informative as well as light-hearted. Having his wife there was an added delight.
There are few people in the spotlight as deserving of praise and respect as Dr. Peterson. I am truly grateful I had the opportunity to see him and Tammy live! It was a surreal experience.
Dr. Peterson was great. But the floor seating (for which I paid a premium) was way too tight. Very small plastic folding chairs that were jammed together. I'm a small person and I was uncomfortably cramped.
