  • One of the greatest minds of our times

I saw Dr Peterson last time he was in town and he was captivating and insightful. The only people who I have met that did not like Peterson, were those who admitted to never having heard him. If you are looking for inspiration, wisdom, honesty and hope this is for you.

Absolutely amazing, he dove deep into subjects directly affecting my life at the time and continues to be a force for self-development in my life, he spoke on arrogance and resentment specifically among many other topics, and I greatly enjoyed the talks, he reminds me to keep striving towards my better self and has gotten me much deeper into the subjects of philosophy, symbolism, and psychology.

Stay open. Stay curious. Stay learning. He may be the one that helps you save yourself, even if you think you don’t need any saving.

  • One of the most important scientific philosophers of our age

Jordan has a powerful way of communicating eternal truths through a scientific lens using pop-culture and biblical stories. I’ve read both his “rules” books and have listened to perhaps 70 hours of his lectures, and find him to be one of the most intelligent and important secular figures of our day.

  • Don't miss this evening

Dr. Peterson's message....Men seem unsure if it’s valid even to identify as a man. They cringe, and they see themselves cringing. Young women appear just as lost in an equivalent set of contradictions. We lose courage and retreat to passivity. So stand up for yourself, Peterson urges. Recognize your accomplishments wherever they lie. He praises us for our resilience, for persisting in our pursuit of value and meaning and avoiding the slide into nihilism. And if you can’t accomplish your goal right now, he advises, break it down into sub-goals. Here he’s being a good cognitive behavioral therapist, and that’s another form of compassion: helping people where they are lost and unable to pull themselves up.. All told, Dr. Peterson comes across more like a coach than a preacher or teacher. Don't miss this evening of honest exploration of our ever-changing challenges in today's culture. PS Loved it all! I made an astonishing observation that this was the FIRST event I EVER attended where the line for the men's room was 3x the size of the woman's room. I think this is very telling of who is attending and benefiting from Dr. Peterson's lectures.

  • DR PETERSON WAS INSPIRING & MOTIVATING

by ShyGuys on 7/1/18sacramento community theater - sacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

We sat about 8 rows from the front so we could see JP clearly. He is very personable, thoughtful and considerate to his audience. He only speaks on subjects he knows about inside out and back to front. with anything else he defers to others. I've never been to a theatre before so didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly delighted with the whole thing, it was very special to me. I stayed for the Q&A with Mr Rubin who kept things going well. Dr Peterson was great at answering the questions for everyone, in addition to that he stayed behind very late and did not rush us out of the door. He really went over and beyond what was expected and everyone was very happy.

  • Insightful and Motivational - well worth the cost

Had never been to a lecture before attending so was not sure what I'd be expecting other than a discussion but was a big fan of Dr. Peterson. The lecture itself was a quality discussion. The content itself covered some of the topics of the book 12 Rules for Life, with more exposition and development but also added depth in the latter half of the lecture. If you are a fan of his lectures or the book itself I would highly recommend attending as Dr. Peterson is a great speaker, often making eye contact with specific members of the audience and speaking with characteristic energy. I also enjoyed the Q/A session at the end of the lecture with Dave Rubin, there was a fair number of questions that they took from the audience as well. I attended the meet and greet portion afterwards where he had spent another 30/45 minutes answering questions. Overall you get the sense that he is as down to earth and well-spoken in person as his 'on-screen' persona. It's clear that all of the developments/attention that the man has received the past few years is still novel and there is a warmth from having met him briefly that made the discussions seem much more human. He is passionate about the subjects which he discusses and is not afraid to defer to other's expertise when confronted with questions he is not an expert and in many cases he seemed to express genuine concern/interest when members of the audience posited personal questions about their life issues or other dilemmas in the Q/A's. Most importantly, he did not rush the audience out the door, but seemed to be willing to stay and talk as long as the managers would allow him. I would highly recommend for anyone who has even a mild interest in Dr. Peterson's work. I would definitely go see him speak again if he ever comes back to Chicago.
