An excellent performance by entire cast. The vocals, the dancing and acting were phenomenal. It was moving, funny, engaging and memorable. I wish I had brought my children.

by deb1948 on 3/19/12Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts - New OrleansGreat show. Worth seeing. My 6 year old grandchild was so excited. The costumes and scenery was outstanding. Felt like I was on Broadway watching it. Sure wish they would have a performance for some of the Public School students. Especially those who can't afford the price of the tickets.

by Anonymous on 3/19/12Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts - New OrleansWhen the play first began and the animals came down the isles it took my breath away. The costumes were even more fabulous than I had heard. I barely even notice there were people behind the puppets. Beautiful voices and acting. Would love to take my grandchildren.
Rating: 5 out of 5 The Lion King was SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!!
by Pamyvette on 3/19/12Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts - New OrleansI saw The Lion King for the first time in New York in the summer of 2004. It was AMAZING at the The New Amsterdam Theater!! The show was supposed to come to New Orleans in 2005, but was cancelled because of Katrina. That was one of many disappointments we had to endure in New Orleans because of The Flood! I was SO EXCITED when they advertised that the show was FINALLY coming!!!! It was JUST AS FANTASTIC the 2nd time around!!!! I want to SEE IT AGAIN!!
