Lots of improvement from 2006. It’s an amazing show and a breathtaking spectacle. My daughter had the best birthday gift from me.
I was enthralled with the whole performance, from the commanding acting and sensational singing, the moving instrumental music and phenomenal staging, the colorful living costumes and puppetry. It was an immersive experience.
I’ve seen each American tour - STILL MAGICAL! The voices and dancing were even better than ever.
The f we où d was way too low! We missed half the dialogue and jokes. And didn’t get to really feel the big, inspiring songs. Really ruined it for us 😞😞
Enjoyed the show. Ticketing process was easy and comfy.
I thought Lion King was amazing. I did not like how the actors were treated. I saw one of the handlers grab Simba by the neck and forced him off stage due to an apparent gambling fued. Other than that altercation; Disney definitely did well on this moving tale of male Lion and his girlfriend Layla. The adventures of Jumba, Layla and Simba traveling across the Serengeti -gets a solid C+
The Pantages Theater is beautiful. Entrance was smooth for the crowd of people. Large lobby area to accommodate people before 7:30 door opening. Seats were comfortable. The art of the Lion King was something to behold, especially considering the 'animals' were people that made the characteristics appear real. All of the actors were terrific, especially the young Simba. Yet, musically, there were compositions that were unfamiliar, and being Africaneeze hard to understand. However, the Elton John songs were well done.
Fantastic musical ! One of my favs! The costumes were gorgeous. The music was beautiful and the whole thing came together so well! I hope to see it again!
The seats are very uncomfortable. You spend the entire intermission waiting in the bathroom line. The merchandise line is unorganized. I do not plan on attending Pantages again anytime soon.
I have seen the Lion King production on many occasions it is one of my favorites. It’s a great way to spend time with love ones. Entertaining and exhilarating from beginning to end. A must see live! You won’t be disappointed.
WOW !! This show is the ultimate best ever! Loved the cast, the music, costumes & sets. t was a real Lion King dream production. I would love to see it many times again !!
Just an absolutely amazing show. Our entire family was just blown away. I cannot wait to see it again.
Without saying any "spoilers" and such... the entire production company was top notch; the simplicity and the costume designer-- as well as production designer (and sound too)! was seriously top notch. I've enjoyed this musical even more so after seeing it the secondary time.
My wife and I went to show. I have seen this a couple of times, but it was my wife first time. I
From the set design to the music, to the lighting and performers, everything was incredible. We are so glad we went.
The Pantages is always a great venue to see a show, add Lion King to the mix and it was a great night for me and my wife. The music, costumes, puppetry, was awesome.
As soon as the show started I was overwhelmed by the music, colors, costumes. The nostalgia of it all, had me overjoyed. The cast members did not disappoint. Wonderful performance from them all. Many funny moments and great for children and adults. Please go see The Lion King, you will not be disappointed.
I've seen the show I think twice before. But, this production was phenomenal. I wish the Pantages had better audio quality, but overall the show itself, was really great. The casting was spot on. The sets, costumes, dancing, etc. were superb. Several people sat next to me who had never seen the show and they were stunned at how magnificent it was. I wish the tickets weren't so expensive so more people could afford to see it. I am blessed that I got to go again.
It was a truly wonderful experience for both myself and my daughter. I look forward to many more plays in the future.
Highly recommend for any fans of the lion king. Performance is amazing and beautiful with vivid colors.
