The North American tour is an equally grand theatrical achievement, having welcomed over 20 million theatergoers in more than 80 cities.The six-time Tony Award-winning production features direction by Julie Taymor, music and lyrics by Elton John and Tim Rice, and choreography by Garth Fagan. For over two decades, the touring production’s visual tapestry has enchanted audiences across North America and continues to be a “must-see” live event, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The entire cast of this company was outstanding, with the costumes and set design proving to be phenomenal. The Pantages has always served as one of the best venues to see a show and the combination with The Lion King will prove to be a wonderful evening/matinee. Thank you so much!
Best theater show ever.. love the 4th wall braking, the realism of certain scenes, and how close it was the animated movie I grew watching
I love seeing The Lion King whenever it is town. Besides the technical issue that occurred I enjoyed it. I will say the sound felt really low. When Rafiki began to sing in the opening number the sound quality was not that great where I was sitting in the mezzanine. Lastly, some of the performers did seem a bit disinterested and slightly tired in their performances. But over all I loved it, I do miss the aerialists in “ Can Yo Feel the Love Tonight.” I know they were removed years ago but I loved that aspect from the 2002 tour.
Besides the incredibly talented cast, the costuming and set designs were breathtaking. Absolutely a Must See production!
The Lion King was fabulous. Myvdear friend and I loved the play. It was beautifully done. The orchestra was wonderful. The actors did a great job and the costumes were really exceptional. Well worth the price of the tickets.
My mother saw the original Broadway production. Later, I was able to see the touring production. This week my son and daughter got to experience the same joy and love that is The Lion King.
So I’ve been waiting years to see this show and I finally did. Such a great show. Oh loved how the dancers in come out from the audience dancing and walking towards the stage. I just wished they would give it the show in Spanish so I can bring my mom with me.
I have never been into plays and such, so I only went because my mom wanted to go see the show. I am so glad she wanted to go, and that I took her, because I LOVED IT!!! Amazing Cast, Amazing Show, Amazing Unforgettable Experience!!!
I took my 90 year old mother as a late Valentine's gift and she absolutely LOVED IT! It wasn't my first time seeing the play so it was exciting to see her childlike reaction. I made sure she sat off the aisle for the full experience. I can't wait to see it again!

I've wanted to see this play for a long time and it did NOT disappoint!! The story follows the movie well enough that if you brought kids, they'd be able to follow along, but the set design and costumes really stole the show! I was mesmerized. Really incredible artistry! And of course the acting was incredible, the kids did an excellent job and the adults were fantastic. 10/10! Loved it!
The Lion King is such an amazing show! The sets and costumes were incredible and the performance was excellent. I would love to see it again.
I’ve waited years for the Lion King to return to the Pantages so I could share the experience with my grandkids. I was not disappointed. The staging, costumes, and music were as wonderful as I remembered and my grandkids were enthralled. I also appreciated the staff at the Pantages who showed compassion to the theater goers by opening the doors early so we could get out of the cold rain!
My famiky lived the creative scenes and the great costumes!
Terrific experience with 16 and 11 yr grandsons. Easy parking when purchased with tickets no problem with mobile tickets
The Lion King on stage is a visual delight. It is so cool to see how the animals are brought to life through human actors. I especially enjoyed the giraffes and the leopard.
Several of us went to the performance of Lion King. We have all seen the show at least 2 times prior, but not in the past ten years. We all felt the show was good but that it was much better previously.
My favorite musical!!! Second time seeing Lion King! Love everything about it from the costumes to the amazing cast!
My entire experience was fantastic. The wait to get in was minimal, the wait to purchase awesome memorabilia was minimal and quite pleasant. The timing was exactly on point as far as start and end times. And the show itself was so moving and touching. I could not have been happier. It far surpassed my expectations. I am so pleased with it all and I am so glad that I got to experience the magic of this wonderful show!
There’s no words I can think than what a beautiful show. The only issue I had was that I’m a bigger girl and the seat at the event was small and not comfortable.
