The costumes, music, performers, and all the creativity put into a Disney story that we all love and know was fabulous!!! I highly recommend seeing. It’s worth paying extra for main floor seating to experience the live action in the aisles.
Exciting, indescribable, simply spectacular; excellent actors and the real magic was felt!
My daughter and I enjoyed the event. Its was amazing well organized and beautiful. The cast was great. The performance thumbs up. I will see again.
The show was well done. The animals merged into the characters portraying them and the actors were very clear in delivering their lines. The stage props were creative and helped to tell the story without having an extravagant stage production.
Everything—from the music, to the dances, to the props and costumes—was absolutely incredible. My eight year old and I were both enchanted by this show. Great fun for all ages!!
I have never spent so much money for a live presentation and won’t again. The best part gif the show were the costumes and the dancers wearing the elaborate costumes. I did not leave the theatre with a glow as I have done with truly wonderful shows
We had seats on the front row next to the steps to the stage. We had concerns about being too close to appreciate the performance. To my surprise, my husband says he had "the best seat in the house." I saw the show in Las Vegas several years ago. I had forgotten how beautiful and fabulous the show was and continues to be.
The cast did a wonderful job! It was a magical performance!
I actually paid for and attended two performances. One was Saturday Dec 17 balcony and the second one was Wednesday Dec 21, 2022 main floor row J. Both performances were great. Yet, the sound system was horrible on both occasions. Did the speaking/singing actors/actresses use microphones? I thought it was me until I asked my four friends on Saturday and family on Wednesday what they thought about the sound system. All of them agreed that it was hard hearing a great deal of the speaking/singing portions of both shows. At this point we won't attend any more performances at the Cadillac Théâtre until we know for certain that the sound systems have been greatly enhanced. Yep, I spent over $1500 and didn't really enjoy the shows.
From the AMAZING costumes to the choreography to the singing and the music- an A++! Thoroughly enjoyed the performance and highly recommend going to see it- no matter your age!
The musical lives up to the hype. I am so glad we were able to see "The Lion King" before it leaves Chicago. The costumes, scenery, and singing had me on the edge of my seat from the first note to the last.
What a fantastic show! The costumes alone are worth the experience. The giraffes were by far my favorite but they all were magical. And the young talent on stage, the 2 playing the young Nala and Symba, were unforgettable. A joy for young and old alike. Do Not Miss This!!!
This was my 4th time seeing The Lion King as I had taken my grandchildren years ago, this time around I took 4 children I tutor. The vibrancy of the singing and acting is outstanding, it never lets you down.
Not the first time to see The Lion King (attended a performance on the first run in Chicago). The show is a spectacular vision of the sounds, the feels, and the excitement of the African Savannah. From the visuals of the opening scene, and acknowledgment of the brilliance of the costume designer, to the closing scene with Simba restored as King, the performances keep you thrilled and excited to be “in Africa”!
I was a little skeptical about the price, but once I got there, and the show started from beginning to end, absolutely amazing, talented, terrific, outstanding show
I took my children and 5 grandchildren (ages 7-16). I bought the suite service. It was a great experience. Very easy, no stress. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance. We will most likely make this an annual outing.
What an AWESOME production! I was overwhelmed by the visual & musical creativity! Hats off to the costuming, puppetry & masks of Julie Taymor! My grandchildren were enthralled from beginning to end.
Great show as they bring the characters to life...i would definitely recommend & see it again.
We had a great experience. All the actors and actresses were great
Great costumes, music, storyline, etc. Only caveat was the sound playing through the speakers for Part 1, where the actors' voices were muddled and low. It was especially hard to hear the lyrics during the songs. This was fixed after intermission, so Part 2 was fine.
