The show was simply amazing. The cast did a wonderful job and would recommend this show to anyone.
It was a birthday gift from my husband and we had a front row seat. Therefore I was able to see details of there costumes and the sound of the music was inspiring. I was also able to speak to one of the member of the orchestra about his instruments and his sound effects. We had a great time.
This was my 5th time seeing the Lion King. The first 2 were on Broadway and the others were tours. Young Simba's voice was annoying/forced and his vocals were not strong at all. Young Nala didn't quite have the strong vocals either. The older Nala had a BEAUTIFUL voice but her dancing wasn't very graceful, and at one point when Simba went to lift her, it looked like it was tough for him to do it. I suppose if this is the first time you've seen the Lion King you will love it, but for me to compare to previous troupes, no thanks. The costumes, orchestra, venue were beautiful, but not a strong cast in my opinion.
It is a phenomenal production!!!! It is something worth seeing over and over again because of the awesomeness of its presentation.
Very well executed. I really enjoyed it! The coreography, music and costumes very well elaborated.
Did not enjoy the show as much I thought I would, after years of excitement.it was ok, not the best as I thought. The had cardboard shapes of animals. I wanted more then this for the price. The show did not wow me.
The costumes were so imaginatively realistic that I had tears in my eyes. I enjoyed the evening immensely. I would recommend the production to anyone regardless of age!!
these tickets were Christmas gifts for my daughter and granddaughter. My best thing was that they tweeted and facetimed the show was "best night ever." Can't ask for anything better.
The costumes were spectacular. I was really impressed with the unique costume designs. The music was great. I loved that the cast was in the aisles right by the audience so much.
This event was amazing, In my opinion is the best Broadway show ever, I will recommended for family and friends night.
The costumes and acting was very good. From our seats we could not see the entire stage when the scenes were towards the back of the stage. It was also impossible to hear some if the scenes and dialogue.
The performance was absolutely amazing. The choreography was one of a kind. He costumes were comparable to the actual movie. The songs were uplifting and the performers were AMAZING!!!! I wish I can see it again and again.
The scenery was beautiful. I enjoyed every bit of this show.
Loved the show. Went to the opening day matinee and it did not disappoint. Love the references to Chicago, like the "Billy Goat Tavern"!! Lots of laughs and great set!! LOVED the aisle seat to be able to see the animals closeup as they danced the aisles!! Costumes are amazing!! Love the music so much that a few songs were in my wedding back in 1996, like "Circle of Life" and "Can you Feel the Love Tonight"!
One of my favorite musicals! Fabulous costumes make animals come alive- fantastic creativity! I would recommend this for children and adults!
My grandaughter saw her first broadway play, a Nana treat -- and what a fabulous introduction! Lion King was nothing short of amazing!
Excellent. Great show. Great seats. Enjoyable event.
The stage play did a great job of enhancing your appreciation of the original Lion King movie while also staying current and exciting.
This performance was awesome! The costumes were amazing, the music was perfectly played and at the right volume to never drown out the voices, the actots were excellent and never missed a beat and the singing was lively and animated throughout the entire show! I sat in the orchestra seats about 5 rows back so the view was perfect from there; however, I would recommend sitting up in the balcony area so that you can see the costumes for their true 'animal' aspects. Everyone had a mask affixed to their heads, not in front of their faces; therefore, from a little higher, the characters face would have been seen better. Excellent show! I plan to go again if I have a chance!!
I have to admit to being a little disappointed in the Lion King. While there were moments that were spectacular, there were also some very slow moving scenes, which left me less than enchanted with this show. We had an understudy for Scar, on opening night in Chicago! But he was very good, no complaints there. I think my expectations were just too high, but my entire group left feeling that this show, while very good, was not "the #1 musical in the world".
