We loved it all. Made us all feel like kids again. And want to go to Disney World or Land!! our 12 year old is a huge Buzz fan and is a special needs child in a wheelchair. With tickets half price on opening night we could better afford to take him. He LOVED IT!!! Now wants to go to Disney World!! The Celebration was Fantastic!!!

    Bring a jacket!!

by SYDNEYANDNICKSMOM on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

The show overall was very enjoyable. My eight year old was less than impressed because he doesn't really watch Disney videos or movies. My four year old LOVED IT! He couldn't stop moving or dancing the whole show! It was well done and overall a great experience even for my older son. The only real drawback is the the temperature of the venue was unexpected. It was freezing!!! We didnt know it would be so cold and the kids have the sniffles today as a result. I would also suggest springing for more expensive tix. We sat in the 300s (upper deck) and it wasn't the best choice. Advice: sit close as possible, bring a jacket, and about $50 to $100 for souvenirs and snacks or eat before you come and you will have a BLAST!!!

    Nice Event

by Murphdog on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

The first half of the show was great. The disney characters were great and the songs they sang were very recognizable. After intermission the second part was a little boring and very theatrical. i did think the Halloween segment was a little scary for small children.

    Where Is the Disney Production

    by ekoorb404 on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

All the money Disney puts in to their productions and shows at the parks does NOT show here. It was very short as well. It was like a bunch of average skaters went to Party City or the Disney store and picked out Halloween costumes then just went skating. Really, there is more decor in the Disney stores it selves than in this show. The young kids had fun at first pointing out all the characters from the movies but even they got tired of that. They showed almost all the characters the first act then just had them come out dressed different. You know it needs work when you cant hold a 6 year old girls attention, I mean come on Disney put a little more time and money in the show not just the costumes.

    Very Fun Holiday Show

by nlagace on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

LOVED THE Halloween part and so did my son. Was not expecting that and it was REALLY good. The Christmas part was also really nice. We have been to Disney on Ice before and it was good but this show was better. All parts of this show with exception to one skit were really good. The other skit was boring to us. I highly recommend even my husband said he had a good time and normally he is sleeping! :)

    by MVL89 on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

I liked it it was ok not the best but i would of liked to see more disney charachters like mickey and minnie and outfits for the kids dat keeps them more intertained instead of looking at real people skating in costumes...

    the holidays

by furnaceman on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

The show was great. They did certain holidays that was very good. The casts was very good with there skating even if they were not pro's(i.e. nationals skaters or olympic ones from the past). There was some falls but that was to be expected but it was still great. We went to Disney in June and that was a memerble event from then. Would see it again next year.

My toddler really enjoyed watching Disney On Ice! It was great how all the characters had the kids participate in the different skits, by yelling out different phrases!

Good show - my detailed review -

by hellorobert on 10/15/09Philips Arena - Atlanta

Nice production. We see a lot of children's shows and this was on par or better than most in the genre as far as production quality and fun that the kids had. Probably on par with the Sesame Street shows. A little bit of extra promotion of their upcoming movie, but not too much. The theme seemed a little loose in that the story goes from celebrating holidays (starting with birthday), to some gadget that Mickey uses to transport he and Minnie to different locations (for vacation), then back to holidays. The kids didn't seem to mind though - they enjoyed the show. The younger kids seem to enjoy seeing the characters while the slightly older kids appreciate the production and the talent a bit more. The supporting visuals and the lighting were good. While the standard clubhouse gang are the stars of the show, they did a good job of including a number of other Disney characters. The first scene starts with a birthday theme, featuring a number of characters, including Pinocchio and the Mad Hatter. One scene featured most of the princesses. There is another that was Halloween themed, starting with Nightmare Before Christmas characters, and then bringing in villians from other movies. There was a New Orleans scene, which was a chance to promote the new movie a bit and feature the new princess. Minnie and Mickey later travel to a couple of locations, including Hawaii (which features Lilo and Stitch), Japan, then China. Mickey has a scene as the sorcerer's apprentice. The final act was the Christmas scene. I would have liked for that to have been a little longer since it included the Toy Story toys and my kids are big fans of the movies. I could be wrong, but it seemed like one of the shorter scenes in the production. Of course, it would have been nice to actually have referred to it as, "Christmas" too. Jesse may have referred to Buzz as a, "Christmas toy", but everything else was, "holidays". Sorry but when you dress Goofy up in a Santa costume, it is Christmas. Overall the kids enjoyed it and had a good time. We went on opening night in our city and had good seats - probably about 15 rows up or so from the ice. The tickets were half price, so $15 a person (+ ticketmaster fees) is a good deal, especially for a Disney production. I don't know what souvenir prices were. We just went to Disneyland two months ago, so we passed on buying any. Parking was $10, which is standard for an event like that downtown. The show started at 7:30 and ended around 9:15 I think. There was a short intermission after the first hour.
