  • Satisfied experience

by Rachel on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

I was not anticipating watching the actual movie. I had thought it was going to be actors doing scenes from the movie on stage. However; the seats I purchased had an amazing view and the band performers did a great job overall.

  • Fantastic show

by BILLYLIMO on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and me didn't know what to expect. My wife seen the original musical in Toronto and said this was better. It was very entertaining and the mini concert at the end was great we were dancing in the aisles.

  • Fun!

by G624 on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 3 out of 5

Fun night out! Having a band play the music was nice but subtitles on screen were distracting. Overall tho it was a good time.

  • Disappointing

by Gs on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 2 out of 5

I thought it was way overpriced to watch a movie and listen to a band sing

  • This was a waste of money

by Thumbs down on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 1 out of 5

I spent way too much money on this - it was awful. They played the movie on a screen and a small band intermittently played the music to the movie when songs came on. I have seen this movie a billion times, I did not realize this is what we signed up for, perhaps this is an oversight on my end but I wish I could get my money back!- I bought 3 tickets and we left at intermission without even thinking about how much of a waste it was. As we left the security guard asked if we would be coming back, and we said no. In turn he laughed and said yeah it isnt good at all I’m sorry, have a good night. Even he knew it wasn’t worth the cost…

  • Disappointed

by Lisav on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 1 out of 5

I just wanted to comment about last night’s Dirty Dancing in concert. Six of us went and we were very disappointed in what we saw. No where did it say we were going to be watching a movie with a band accompanying the songs. We paid a lot of money ($55) to see something I could have watched on a streaming service. None of us would have paid that amount of money for that production. I have been a long time season ticket holder and this is the first time I have felt so upset about a show. Usually you give a brief synopsis of what we can expect but I never read anything about this. I’m not happy about what has happened and spending extra money on something that wasn’t a musical performance that I’m used to from Sheas.

  • The movie on a big screen

by Lynn on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

I had a different idea if how this show would be. It was basically the movie on a big screen with the orchestra below who would play the songs. Almost would not have known they were there unless you looked for them. For the seat cost, drink cost and parking I don't think it was worth it and I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Wonderful

by Teresa on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was fabulous! Loved watching the movie again, could watch it over and over but on the big screen was a great experience. Danced my heart out after with the band. Great time overall and love that we can actually bring our drinks and snacks into the theatre, good change.

  • It was Okay...

by Teresa K on 3/19/25Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 3 out of 5

We didn't know what to expect going in...to pay the amount of $$ we paid for our tickets, to essentially 'watch a movie' and listen to a band, was a bit much.

  • Not what I expected

by SC on 3/15/25The Pullo Center - YorkRating: 3 out of 5

I now know that “in concert” means the movie is played on a screen while musicians sit on stage and play some of the songs from the movie. I thought there was going to be actual dancing from the iconic movie. I guess I got excited about seeing Dirty Dancing and didn’t realize this was the movie being played. The description could have been better.

  • Amazing!

by Pam on 3/15/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I really had no idea what to expect when I purchased tickets. What an amazing experience! Movie on the big screen with live music playing the score! And when Patrick Swayze made his appearance for the first time, the whole audience swooned! I cracked up! It was a great mix of ages too. All singing and cheering. The man next to me had an amazing voice I might add! Will do this again!

  • Really enjoyed it

by DJI on 3/14/25Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

If you like the movie and especially its music, you will love this production. Definitely stay for the immediately following concert that replays all of the songs. The finale had everyone singing and dancing.

  • The time of our lives!

by Lisa on 3/11/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was a whole new experience for a Dirty Dancing show. My mom and I have experienced at the theater, at the Fabulous Fox in a live performance and now as the music was performed while the movie was shown. Great way to showcase the music of this great movie.

  • Not a good show

by Chesterfield resident on 3/11/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 1 out of 5

I went to the concert with my mom, expecting a live show. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a movie playing on a screen with a musician singing in the background. The tickets were expensive and definitely not worth the price for this type of performance. In my opinion, the most significant part of the venue at the factory is the bars—I counted 12. Their main focus seems to be selling as many drinks as possible, while everything else feels secondary. I didn’t go there to drink; I went to enjoy a good time, which I unfortunately did not.

  • Dirty Dancing

    by Gcan53 on 3/11/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Great and fun event! Fabulous band and superb singers. Unfortunately many screaming women in our section did not positively contribute to our enjoyment. But $12 for a can of water? Come on…

  • What a blast

by Leslie on 3/11/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

We did not know what to expect when we purchased the tickets. We were blown away, the band and singers were top notch. The audiance participation was a hoot, and the dance party was the cherry on top of a great evening. I highly recommend this for a date night.

  • Excellent experience and wildly fun.

by Ellie on 3/11/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The band was amazing. We got into the venue quickly because they had several screening stations. (Unlike with the Speakers' Series).

  • Waste of time and money!

by Tambria on 3/10/25Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - BloomingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Worst concert I have ever been to! Costs a lot to just watch the movie and have a few people sing the songs to the movie!
