  • What a nice surprise

by JoanB on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I had no idea this was going to be such a fun combination of media. The band was EXCELLENT and the movie running in the background was the perfect setting. Now what REALLY made the show was the audience participation!!! That energy can not be understood unless you were there. What a fun evening!!

  • So fun!

We were not sure what to expect, and loved every minute of it. So glad we went.

  • Terrific Show

by JSR on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

7 piece band which included a male and a female lead singer really engaged the audience during and after the screening of Dirty Dancing. Great covers of all of the movies’ songs. Also some pretty good dance movies by the two leads and other band members.

  • Dirty Dancing in Concert Review

by Jennifer A. on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

The band and the singers were on point. I had read somewhere the movie was played and the dancers performed all the dance scenes not only the singing. I would have preferred to see the dancing. That is the whole aww behind the Baby and Johnny story, aside from the love story and "coming of age". I've always been a huge fan of the movie and SO appreciate the story but seeing the dancing live is what I thought I was paying for or I would not have purchased tickets. It was a very expensive movie in my opinion. Would not have purchased tickets. Also, I had third row orchestra right seats. Great seats but the speakers were right next to us. VERY poor set up by the theatre.

  • Do Not Recommend

by SWheels on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

We watched the actual movie and the singers sang the parts of the movie that had music over the movie. A live band also played during these times. You heard me right: we watched the movie…the entire movie. The singers’ voices were incredible, but this show was cheesy theatre at best. There were so many points where I wanted to walk out, but chose not to since I paid for a really good seat. The singers had zero interaction with each other until the last 20 minutes which was named “the dance party.” The dancing was awful. Very high school theatre meets High School Musical. Please invest in a solid choreographer and dancers who actually know how to dance. Watching the lead female singer attempt to dance was painful. I’m sorry to be so negative, but I don’t want anyone else to waste their money on tickets to this “show” until it has been revamped. The band was amazing. The saxophonist and bass guitarist..wow! The show itself, not so much. Do not waste your money and watch the movie at home.

  • Great trip down memory lane

by Broadway Snob on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The show is a great combination of an iconic movie and a live rock and roll concert! The band could play their own show any time … the singers were amazing… Would love to see it over and over again. Nobody puts this show in the corner!

  • The music takes you back!!

by M. F. on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing the movie after all these years was wonderful but the singers and live band took it over the top! The performance by Michale D'Elia was spectacular!! He reminds me of a young Hugh Jackman. He should be the next Music Man!

  • Fabulous

by Alexandre Mode on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Fabulous concert/movie. A very good atmosphere and connection with the public for this show. You have to see it.

  • Expensive Movie

by TDR on 11/23/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

I was rather disappointed that this production was a movie instead of a live production. The live music was very good but all in all a very expensive movie…

Enjoyed the show, wish there was more dancing. The band was great!

  • Was very disappointed .

by Bob on 11/21/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 1 out of 5

We were under the impression it was going to be a play. It was only the Dirty Dancing movie on a screen with a band playing the sound track. The band played the sound track great though. Would not recommend this show to anyone .

  • Over priced movie

by Teresa on 11/20/22BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 1 out of 5

It's was nothing more than a over priced movie. I had 3 tickets that was almost $400 to watch a movie I already seen a thousand times! The music was ok. Wish I had stayed hope and watched it again on TV.

  • Strangest things

by Disappointed on 11/20/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 1 out of 5

Weirdest thing I’ve ever been to. Can’t believe I paid as much money as I did for this event! Would recommend they stop this performance.

  • Best show ever

by Britt on 11/20/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 5 out of 5

For anyone that is a fan of the movie or the soundtrack, this show is a must see. The performers were outstanding and it was great seeing the original movie on the big screen again. The band will have you singing along and dancing in the aisles. I was thrilled to sing along to my favorites songs.

We thought we were going to a musical but a concert where they showed the movie and they sang a few songs. We were not the only ones that thought this. Almost everyone there were talking how they thought this was a musical.

  • Not great

by Scubadadsr on 11/20/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 2 out of 5

The live orchestra and the singers were outstanding. The movie left an awful lot to be desired! Quality was not very good. It looked like they had something to fit the size of a new normal TV and put it on a big screen! Sometimes the music was so loud you couldn’t hear what the flying on on the movie itself. I would not do this again!

  • Expensive way to watch the movie

by JenniferGrey on 11/20/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 1 out of 5

You pay a lot of money to just watch a movie. They don't even have any live dancing.

  • Awesome Fun

    by p3dave on 11/20/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 5 out of 5

Watching a movie with a band and singers with dancing was enjoyable and brought back fond memories.

  • Not with the money

by Elizabeth on 11/20/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 1 out of 5

This was a very disappointing show. We basically paid a lot of money to watch the movie. There could be SO many ways for this to be a really great stage show, but instead the live band played along with the music in the movie and sat on stage the rest of the time. Then they proceeded to REPLAY all the songs in the movie at the end of the movie. Not what we expected and it was really disappointing.
