  • Dirty Dancing Fan

by L Hache on 10/16/23The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great time. Not at all what I expected - I was expecting more of a play/concert mix, so I was surprised it was the movie playing with the band playing the soundtrack music through the movie. It was a cool concept. I love love love Dirty Dancing, so I was thrilled to attend. The musicians and vocalists were fantastic.

  • Very Disappointed

by Mitch on 10/16/23The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 1 out of 5

I was very disappointed as it was not what I had hoped the show was. I did not realize I paid almost $200 for front row tickets to see a movie I could have watched at home. The band was very talented but I was under the impression it was a musical play with live music.

  • Don’t Waste your Time or Money

Definitely not what any of us expected. I saw Al the show with a few girlfriends. We were so excited beforehand but very early into the show we were completely disappointed. Literally they play clips of the movie on the big screen and then some of the songs are sang live on stage. We totally thought it would be more of a play with live people dancing and singing.

  • Waste of $$

You are better off just watching the movie in the comfort of your own home….a real disappointment

  • Not what I expected

by MA on 2/2/23Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 2 out of 5

Basically, they played the movie on the screen and actors sang along with the songs. Was underwhelming.

  • Not Happy

by Gretel AAMC on 1/23/23Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 2 out of 5

As far as I was concerned it was nothing more than a overpriced movie watching it in a theater setting! I expected to see a Broadway musical! The musicians were great!

  • Not What We Thought

by Kelly on 12/10/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 1 out of 5

It was our fault, but the show was not what we expected. We didn’t pay close enough attention to the details of the show. But, I am not sure there were details of the show in the description. We thought it was going to be a musical and were very excited to see it. However, it was not a musical. Or a play. They showed the movie on a movie screen and there was a band on stage that sang the songs when they came on in the movie. That’s it. Basically, expect to be seeing the movie just as you would in a movie theater.

  • Disappointed

by Chris on 12/7/22Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 2 out of 5

Didn’t realize it would be just a showing of an old movie with occasional singing from an unknown band. The movie sound was awful. Very unclear and fuzzy. Overpriced for a viewing of a movie we could see on TV for nothing.

I was upset that I paid so much money to WATCH A MOVIE!

  • Not what I was expecting

by Disappointed on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 3 out of 5

Didn't know that we would be watching the movie the whole time. Really thought that the performance would have been more interaction The ending was much better than the beginning The show was not really full About 30 couples left at intermission

  • Bored

by Unhappy on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 1 out of 5

That was the worst show I have ever had the opportunity to attend. Not all what was expected. I could have watch the dirty dancing movie at home on a big screen tv!! I was a waste of time and movie. We left the show during intermission! Only waited until then because we didn’t want to disturb people around us.

  • Not worth the money

by Jennifer on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 1 out of 5

The show is nothing more than watching the movie on the big screen and a band playing when the movie has music. it was NOTHING. like I expected. I waste of money. The best part was they very end when the band played music and the audience danced. very disappointing. We all thought there would be music, dancing, such as a musical. the singers didn’t even dance when they were singing. SAVE YOUR MONEY and watch the movie for free!!

  • Expected more

by DDfan44 on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 3 out of 5

This is my favorite movie and I loved seeing it again on a huge screen. Having the band perform the songs was great too but for the price I was expecting actors to act out in person some of the main scenes like they do the Rocky Horror Picture Show events.

  • Dirty dancing without live dancers?

by Jess on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed the movie (only my 500000 time seeing it! ) and enjoyed the format of live band and singers but feel like they missed the mark of not having live dancers on stage recreating some the iconic dances live as they showed on screen too. The music and singers were spot on, but they only danced after the movie which felt like a let down.

  • Time of my life!

by Rob on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I really did have such a good time at Dirty Dancing in Concert! The movie was so good as always, the band was amazing, and the dancing afterwards was icing on the cake!

  • Dont waste your time

by KLO on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 1 out of 5

Show was not very good; could have stayed home and watched on the couch. would not recommend. no wonder why the area was so empty.

  • Not What I Expected

by Shelly on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 2 out of 5

If you want to watch the movie again with a band singing, then this is for you. I wouldn’t pay for this if I had known it was not a musical with dancing.

  • Would do it again!

by Michelle on 12/6/22North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing! I didn't know what to expect, but the movie, the score, the singers, and the band fit together so perfectly- it was seamless! The singers were amazing and sounded so much like the original! And the little after party at the end.....boy, so much fun! Singing and dancing with friends after a great show, I could not have asked for a better evening!

  • The show was very good the singing stellar

by BABY on 12/4/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 4 out of 5

Thr singing was stellar but I would have loved to see dancing on stage during the show along with the movie

  • Okay, not great

by Doralee on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 3 out of 5

Expectations of lots of dancers on the stage accompanied by great music was not realized.
