  • Dirty Dancing on stage

by Juanita Uransky on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 2 out of 5

I was very disappointed as I was expecting dancers on stage. The singers were ok but not so much.I wish they had looked for dancers instead of singers.I won't make that mistake again.

  • Time of my Life

by SJW on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

It was awesome. If you grew up with Dirty Dancing, you will enjoy the show.

  • The Up&Down

by CampStar on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 3 out of 5

The ‘Up’ is that there was an ocean of beautiful women having a good time and cutting loose. The ‘Down’ is that I was hoping the production had been presented as a play instead of a movie and lip-syncing. It was a good date night that I would probably do again…just not at that price.

  • Not worth the money

by Maddy on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 1 out of 5

You basically pay a lot of money to watch the movie on a bug screen….no dancers…the band just plays the songs live. Nothing special about this, I actually left halfway through and I wasn’t the only one leaving.

  • Classic

by VR on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 4 out of 5

Not what I was wxpecting. Watching a movie on a big screen and then some singing by the band. After the movie was the best part. A dance party. I think $50 a ticket was a little high to watch a movie. Not sure how this was a Broadway show. Overall was still a good night

  • Very disappointed.

by Sandy on 12/3/22Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 1 out of 5

Sound was terrible. How can you call two people singing (and not well) a concert? I have never attended an event that I disliked as much, especially at The Chrysler. We left at the intermission.

  • Dirty Dancing in Concert

by Vicky on 12/2/22Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome! Performers were excellent! The concert exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to all Dirty Dancing fans.

  • GREAT SHOW

by Dave on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

It was great to see the movie for the first time since it first came out. The live singers were also fantastic!. The planning for when the singers should sing was very well done. The backup band was also very fine.

  • Unexpectedly fantastic!

by JB on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 4 out of 5

At first I was kind of disappointed. I thought the dancing was done live too along with the movie but then after the movie the dance party started! The singers and band danced along with patrons in the aisles. It was super fun . I almost would rather just skip watching the movie and just dance along to the songs!! All in all if you love the music you will have a great time!

  • Not worth the money!

    by J. G. on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 1 out of 5

Never again. Watching a band sit and watch an old movie with the rest of us for $60!! Everyone there thought it was going to be totally different! Never again. Total waste of driving from the West and my time.

  • Dirty Dancing Dyno-mite

by BillM on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

A great overall experience, and a great date night option. Highly recommended. The movie was great and even if not a fan of the movie the songs are classic. The singers and the backing band were great and the end provided the opportunity for audience participation. Very enjoyable. If you have the opportunity, do not miss it.

  • Not exactly a show

by Beth on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 1 out of 5

Poor - my friends and I didn’t stay until the end. We paid a decent amount of money to watch the movie, a trimmed down version of the movie at that with an occasional band and sing over. What exactly was the LOI t? I could have watched the movie at home.

  • Dirty Dancing

    by Scooby0214 on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

The entire staff at the venue was amazing. From the parki g staff to the ushers inside. I was with my daughter and daughter in law. We really enjoyed how the singers and live band. The dance party was awesome.

  • So much fun

by CC on 12/2/22Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

We’ve now seen this movie for the umpteenth time, and having the music performed live, made this time watching it, just fun. The two singers and the orchestra were great, but the singer who played Johnny, was especially talented and cute. This was such a fun evening and I would highly recommend going to see it.

  • Misleading

    by S. M. on 12/1/22Rating: 2 out of 5

As everyone else has I assumed this was a play or something similar but it was the movie played on the screen with the band playing the songs... however my family made the best of it and still enjoyed it because we love Dirty Dancing but it was very misleading

  • DIRTY DANCING IN CONCERT

by Gary on 12/1/22Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

If you're a fan of the movie -- and who isn't -- then DIRTY DANCING IN CONCERT is a must-see event. Great fun to be among thousands of others and enjoy watching the film together on the big screen. Picture quality is excellent, and the live music replacing the original soundtrack is spot on. The best part of the show comes after the movie ends, when the singers and band -- all incredibly talented -- reprise almost all the songs from the film. Great party atmosphere, not to be missed. You'll have the time -- well, you know!

  • Under whelmed

by Good music lover!!! on 12/1/22Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

Was expecting a musical not a showing of the movie, with a band. Could have watched on TV with Surround Sound and had the same effect. Unless it is an actual concert, I will not be buying any more tickets with shows in concert.

The band was amazing, singers very talented. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

  • Awesome

by Sara on 12/1/22Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Had no idea what to expect. It was totally awesome. The band, the performers, everything was top notch. Hoping it comes back!!

  • Disappointed

by Morrisa on 11/30/22Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 3 out of 5

I was a bit disappointed that it was a movie with a live band…. I was expecting a play or drama. I’ve seen the movie sooooo many times…. And to spend $166 for 2 tickets to see a movie was a bit extreme. Next time I will be more careful when I purchase tickets to anything.
