Attended the Irvine concert. At 70 he still rocks it. A real inspiration to those of us who never expected to reach our golden years….Lol.
Wow...I am so thrilled to say that I finally got to see Danny Elfman live in concert after all these years! His performance was amazing...from Nightmare before Christmas to Dead Man's Party! Mr. Elfman, you are one talented man.
Mr. Elfman is an incredibly talented performer and composer. His pieces are quite well known and we enjoyed those parts of his show. His new music is a bit hard edge and not really our taste. Overall a good show and a great ticket value.
Incredible performance, full of nonstop entertainment! The front man and supporting cast were beyond exceptional! Such energy and heartfelt delivery!
Good venue, parking went smooth, lots of options to eat.
Danny Elfman put on an amazing show with songs from his Oingo Boingo, Boingo, solo, and musical scores. It truly was a really cool experience. I got chills/goosebumps listening to his live orchestra perform several movie themes from Spider-Man, to Edward Scissor Hands, to Pee Wee Herman, to Batman, to The Simpsons, and so many more! Danny Elfman is truly a musical legend.
Loved all the Oingo BOINGO songs & the entire show was incredible. The orchestra was amazing. It was an event to remember. So nostalgic. I’ve waited 30 years to see him live again.
Best concert I’ve ever been to, period. So thankful he decided to perform again
Not just a show, it was an experience! So glad I went. Danny Elfman has the same energy he has always had. Kinda annoyed of the smokers near me but other than that, I would not have missed it.
Danny played a mix of everything he has done in his career. His performance was an experience. Sometimes you were singing along, other times you were just sitting and taking it all in.
Danny Elfman is an incredible composer and performer. I have been following his work since the first release of Nothing to Fear in 1982. Brought my wife, daughter, cousin, and 4 good friends who are all fans. Ticket limit was 8 or I would have brought more along. Venue appeared to be sold out. We were in Left Orchestra Row F/6. The Chula Vista/San Diego show was as energetic, quirky, and superbly satisfying as the Oingo Boingo shows I saw in the 80's & 90's all over SoCal. This particular show set list covered more of his Oingo Boingo work I had not seen since the 90's. Elfman, the band, the orchestra, & the choir blended flawlessly. Insanity was as chilling as ever. Sorry was as impactful as intended and relative to today's division of the world. The choir brought Alice to wonderful highs. Pee Wee theme was delivered solidly with images of Paul on the big screen and touching end with Danny honoring Paul. Ain't This the Life was really cool. Who Do You Want to Be with revised/current celebs was so fitting for the social media climate of everyone trying to be something they are not. Closing out the show with No One Lives for Ever was a fitting end without saying goodbye. Hope to see/hear Goodbye-Goodbye live again someday but I know, its a tough song vocally. Danny's vocals were clear, on cue and just as broad of range as 40 years ago. To say this was a great, amazing, incredible, over the top show is media bluster. As a decades long fan of his work, this show for me was completely satisfying and fulfilling. Thank you Danny!
Amazing show! Danny Elfman did not disappoint. A wide range of his work. From Oingo Boingo to his compositions in movies.
Danny Elfman and his 50 piece orchestra put on an utterly amazing show. It was wonderful, exciting, and visually extravagant. I loved it so much!! I’ve been a fan of Oingo Boingo since I was a teen and continuously a fan of Danny Elfman’s incredible talent. It was intense and moving while also being a terrific rock show.
Great set list good variar it y of old songs new songs movie theme soundtrack. All of it with awesome visuals. It’s great to have Danny Elfman back!
Flying halfway across the country for a concert is both the most bold and best decision I've made in a long time. Mr. Elfman and his ensemble of musicians created a world of visual and audio magnificence that fully immersed the viewer.
He had a 20-25 piece orchestra and 11 person choir plus his band. Made for fantastic sounds. He still has his voice. Played Boingo hits and movie pieces. Great night
Everyone from the parking attendants (Marisole) to the people allowing access to our section was amazing! Friendly and helpful. Danny Elfman put on a very entertaining show. The transitions were smooth, song choices perfect Keep coming back to SD
It was really memorable and fantastic to hear the live performance of Danny Elfman, the musician who was once apart of the famed Oingo Boingo group switched over to the movie industry in which created created touching and fantastic movie themes. His songs will forever be a true masterpiece and will encourage the next generations for years to come to be different with their music and not follow the same genre.
We were able to score killer seats in the center orchestra, 7th row. I tell you what, Danny has more energy and exudes more charisma than many performers half his age! He is one of the greatest musicians of our time and puts on the best show that I have seen in many years. I will be going to any and all performances that he does in my town from now on!
