  • Bravo!!

    by Wenwill76 on 11/6/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Danny and his entire band/orchestra are brilliant! Loved hearing all of his music, from the movie scores to Oingo Blingo to his solo music from Big Mess. Danny is alive and filled with energy and it’s contagious. Loved the openers as well with Desire and Johnny Jewel Omg they were so good!

  • Disability parking where? Shuttles where?

by Teresa on 11/6/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 3 out of 5

Even with my disability placard on display, I was directed to the furthest parking lot. Then, I spent $10 to be shuttled closer to the venue, however I ended up walking half the way there as the bike-shuttle driver didn't seem sure how close to the front of the venue he could drive. Then, when the show was over, no shuttles were available back to the lot I was parked in. I kept looking for them as I hobbled painfully back to my car. I walk with a cane and several times I almost fell due to uneven footing and people having to quickly walk around me. Shoreline Amphitheatre needs to do way better for its disabled patrons. I am still in so much pain from walking back to the car. :(

  • AWESOME

    by Doc B. on 11/6/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I grew up listening to Boingo and never got to hear them in concert because the stopped touring when I was in high school. Seein Danny perform was the best! I have not been to a better concert. It was a great mixture of Big Mess, Boingo, and his cinematic pieces. If he keeps performing, I will keep going to see him.

  • Best concert this year!!!

by Boingo LA G-fan on 11/6/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been a fan since the 80’s. I went to many shows in LA, including several on Halloween. This was such a treat. Danny is gifted. I love that he played a mix of Oingo Boingo, soundtrack compositions and rocked a few new tracks. He sounded great. The orchestra sounded great and the visual effects complement the music perfectly. Can’t wait until next time!! Thank you, Danny!!…and Steve Bartek 🤍

  • Pleasantly Surprised

by Elfman Fan on 11/6/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not sure what I was expecting but whatever I saw was one of the best performances I've seen. The man is 71 and he put on a show as if he was in his prime. I had no idea he had so many good songs of his own let alone the movie scores. It was awesome and definitely worth it.

  • Amazing!

by Bree on 11/6/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Danny Elfman was amazing!!! He is 71 and looks and moves like he’s 45! I would love to see him live again!!!

  • Epic, outstanding and unforgettable

by Jen Giraud on 11/6/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Danny Elfman is the musical, artistic and performance genuis of our times possessing unique diverse talents, musical perspectives, intriguing creative inspirations and directions. From his early days with the Mystic Knights to Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman's evolution as a musician, artist, entertainer and composer of movie soundtracks to beautiful and complex classical musical compositions, then on to an unexpected and welcome return to ROCK with the release of albums Big Mess 2021 and Bigger Messier 2022, he amazes us. The BBBB show includes a sampling of his vast repertoire of work. It entices the audience with well loved soundtracks including scores from his Tim Burton work, "Nightmare before Christmas,"singing beautifully as Jack, and much more. Danny Elfman weaves well known Oingo Boingo favorites, "Only a Lad,"and appropriate for the Halloween season, "Deadman's Party,"and more seamlessly into this concert, with his industrial rock leaning new album music. As he puts it, "it makes no sense,"yet it does! Danny Elfman builds on the excitement by surprising and delighting the audience with his newly released song "Monkeys on the loose,"that he premiered at the Sick New World Music Festival, Las Vegas April 2024. If that weren't enough he then stunned with a brand new song premiere of a melodic, rhythmic and powerful unreleased song, "In My Head."Danny's vocals are incredible. Both new songs are inspired and so exciting. The BBBB performance captures a glimpse into the unique magical creativity that is Danny Elfman. This performance is visually spectacular and energetic. He sounds amazing. Danny Elfman possesses a stage presence that is intense, exhilarating, dramatic, touching, entertaining and engaging. The Elf Band is beyond compare. Members are a talented group of professionals that include; Robin Finck, guitar, Nili Brosh, guitar, Stu Brooks, guitar , Ilan Rubin, drums. To the delight of Oingo Boingo fans, Steve Bartek, an original guitar player and a creative force of Oingo Boingo joined to perform. What a treat! The orchestra is gorgeous and on point. In addition to the expected instruments, they use unique instruments from Danny Elfman's personal collection. After this concert the audience is left amazed, energized, intrigued, happy, feeling nostalgic and left in eager anticipation of what is next from Danny Elfman whose creativity seems to know no limits, or labels, and never can be predicted. Simply fascinating.

  • Nothing short of Amazing!

by Mr. Brightside on 11/6/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say, the entire show was entertaining from the opener Johnny Jewel and Desire, to every bit of Danny Elfman's show. A life's work with even new music debuts and throw backs that hadn't been performed in 30 years. Special Boingo guest appearance by Steve Bartek. Danny also had an extremely talented band, choir, and orchestra, and great visuals. With even well known celebs in and about the audience it was a beautiful night made cozy by the cool drizzle, ambience of the Hollywood Bowl, and the feeling that we were all sharing in the moment, a moment created by a musical genius. Thanks Danny! Also thanks to the Hollywood Bowl for another great organized show! We had decent seats but I think the Bowl is a great venue no matter where you are. We parked at the Zoo and shuttled/bussed back and forth and this was all easy and organized. All the staff was friendly and chill. Very much appreciated!

  • Danny Elffman over the top

    by D4me on 11/5/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I didn't know what to expect but he blew me away! He has a choir, orchestra, film..and he looks great! 71 going on 45. I was so impressed. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

  • ELFMAN IS ELECTRIFYING!!!!!!

by ELECTRIFYING!!! on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Elfman and his band/orchestra put on a phenomenal show. The combination of video and music is amazing. The whole band is full of energy. I absolutely love seeing him play the Hollywood bowl, I can’t wait to see him again.

  • Nostalgic and energized

by Fee on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Danny Elfman is so talented and energetic playing nostalgic Oingo Boingo music to movie scores and new material. A true genius!

  • Danny Elfman is amazing.

by Chris on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Danny Elfman at the Hollywood Bowl two years ago and thought it was mind blowing. Like last time, even though much of the show was the same, it was just as amazing with a combination of old Oingo Boingo songs, orchestra pieces from many movies and shows, and songs from the Big Mess albums.

  • Plenty of talent on display

by Jimbo on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 3 out of 5

Truly one of the more gifted talents in our time. It was fun to hear his scores with the videos in the background. Didn't really care much for the new material. I was disappointed with the Boingo songs... they really need the horns and some of it felt like he played it because it was expected. Agree, different guy from 30 years ago, but his energy back then brought the songs to life and without it, eh.

  • Amazing, unbelievable and extremely entertaining!!

by Mike from redlands on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Can't believe elfman is 71. Must see every year while it lasts.

  • Really good seat had a fun time

by Kat on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 3 out of 5

Great seats but the people in front of us decided to stand so we couldn’t really see unless we stood up. People behind us was handicap so they couldn’t see but Hollywood bowl made the handy cap man get out of his own chair and use their chair because they were afraid people behind him couldn’t see……which made no sense because the person in front of us were standing up so no one can see

  • Awesome Concert. We love Danny!

by LYSSALUVS on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Great Venue. Danny was amazing, the band and Orchestra was great.

  • The Elfman experience

    by The B'Z on 11/5/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I've been a loyal fan of Danny's since in 1983. And he has never disappointed me with any of his work. what a amazing composer and song writer. Now that my 3 sons are able to experience what they've been listening to since they were born

  • Great show for True Fans

by Pam on 11/5/24Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

This show is great for true Oingo Boingo fans that appreciate all of Danny Elfman’s new solo tracks and all Oingo Boingo songs. Much of the crowd only wanted to watch the scores and were annoyed by Boing fans having a good time and loving the music. I loved every minute of this show, but too many people sat in their seat - even during Dead Man’s Party. The songs are high energy and some of the crowd was amazing and much of the crowd were not.
