Enjoyable, spirited and danced with so much joy! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The show was wonderful! However, the Paramount Parking was confusing. The address said 1700 7th Avenue but the garage entrance was on Stewart. It's also a bit farther than expected with other garages closer to the theatre. And, for someone with a bad hip, it was too far too walk. Also, when I purchased the parking at the same time as my tickets tge parking was $12. Then, the next day I discovered it hadn't been added. So, I had to repurchase parking. This time it charged $16! Not happy about that!
When I saw the ballet advertised, I purchased tickets with the mindset that this would be a way of introducing my granddaughters into the world of ARTS. I wanted my granddaughters to see themselves in the performance. It was exceptional! My 3-year-old granddaughter could not take her eyes off the stage, and the 10-year-old let me know that she was so amazed at the performers and grateful for the opportunity to see them. The Dance Theater of Halem was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of us.
Totally captured and consumed my attention with artistry and symbolism of the culture. Having the effect of a deep breath, watching lowered my blood pressure!
I was able to attend one of the shows in Memphis over the weekend, and it was phenomenal!!! The dancers moved with such passion and poise, it was breathtaking to observe. I would go see the show again and definitely recommend - 10/10!
The entire program was excellent. I really enjoyed myself
Original, highly technical and athletic performance by the beautiful Dance Theatre of Harlem! Their artistry was awe inspiring. Our only criticism was the soundtrack on the last piece, which was ear-splitting and abrasive. It sounded like hammers banging on metal pipes and detracted from the overall experience.
AMAZING SHOW!! I would highly recommend!!! FANTASTIC DANCERS.
I was totally mesmerized by The Dance Theater of Harlem’s show!!! Omg! I could have sat there and watch them dance all night! I hope to catch them again if they return to Memphis!!!
