DANA CARVEY ON TOUR:
Venerable funnyman and Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey is the mastermind behind some of comedy's most beloved personas, from Wayne's World's Garth Algar to SNL's Church Lady. One of the best impersonators in the business, Carvey takes aim at everyone from celebrities to past presidents in his hilarious standup act, only relenting to add off-color but hilariously insightful bits from his personal experience to the mix. Much to the delight of fans, Carvey is shamelessly devoted to pleasing his audience — each routine ends with a 15-minute Q&A where he fields questions and reprises characters from his rich comedic past. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missoula, Montana, Carvey landed some minor film roles in the early '80s before becoming a household name as part of Saturday Night Live's 1986 featured cast. Carvey played a pivotal role in boosting the show's waning popularity, becoming an audience favorite with iconic characters like Church Lady and the bodybuilder Hans of "Hans and Franz." His most famous SNL role, however, was his portrayal of Garth Algar alongside Mike Meyers in the epochal Wayne's World sketches, which spawned one of the most successful movie franchises of the '90s. Over his three decade-spanning career, Carvey has been nominated for six Emmys, cementing his place as one of comedy's modern greats.

The laughs were great! Impersonations were fantastic! I love that he hit all the topics and got the audience to participate. I’d recommend seeing him if he’s in your area.
As for his performance, it was meh. He seemed to be distracted, referring to notes occasionally. I’ve never seen a performer do that before. His entire performance was impersonations, which got old. We had seen him previously in 1985, no comparison. The event center was okay. It was hard to see him even with the tv screens up front. Screens are needed in the center of the room.

Great venue! Very intimate! He keeps his material very fresh and yet throws in some of his funniest stuff of all times! Excellent show!
Dana Carvey's humor is a through back to the days of late night hosts like Johnny Carson and Milton Berle in the sense that his humor is highly topical but inoffensive. He makes considerable fun of political figures based on mannerisms and physical characteristics, and does not focus on political belief systems or lecture the audience. He's a breath of fresh air in today's environment - exceedingly funny and relatable. He delivered big time.
For the amount of money we paid, it was only an hr and 20 mins. Very redundant material.

Lots of impressions of people. Not very well put together or prepared. Rare laughs. Waste of time and money.
Purchased 6 tickets for 3 couples. One couple had to bow out. I offered the spare 2 to my son and his friend. They were both happy to see a comedian but really didn't know the full spectrum of Dana Carveys genius. Unfortunately I failed to realize they had to be 21 or older to watch the show. So they were sent away. Both were 19. I am not sure why there was a 21 or older requirement. Yes there was alcohol available but that could have been controlled. Either way the fault was mine and so therefore I had to eat the costs. Regardless of the issue, the show changed my mood within minutes. Dana ran through an arsenal of impressions which had the crowd hooked from start to finish. Great job and a Great Show.
I remember seeing Dana his first season of SNL (back when it was funny). Always wanted to see him and finally had the chance after moving to Vegas. I love his Fly on the Wall series, I'd kinda forgotten about him until I watched one of the Fly on the Wall episodes. He's easily the best impressionist ever. He's smart enough to cover all ends of the political spectrum in a truly comedic way (no mean/stupid stuff). He covers a lot of ground in his set, every subject was interesting, relevant and mostly hilarious. Would definitely go see him again. Wish he could talk Dennis Miller into coming back on the road!
Dana Carvey is hilarious!! His routines are topical with a comedic spin to make it very funny. Dana does improvisation comedy to keep his act lively and fun to watch. A must comedian to see.
Been a fan of his for decades finally was honored to see him live. His impressions are not only spot on but his twists he adds to them are HILARIOUS I've never laughed that hard that long. Once he started we did NOT stop enjoying ourselves. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR add a life long memory by seeing in our opinion the BEST STAND up comic EVER. Sorry Richard,George,Eddie this show was our FAVORITE!!
I went "Saturday Night", so fitting as Dana was one of the best SNL members! I went with my husband and son for my July birthday. Dana was so funny that I couldn't take a breath between jokes as I belly laughed the whole time. His mannerisms and impressions are the best in the comedy world. We, as a family, just YouTube him all the time and just love him! Thank you Dana for your terrific talent!
I went with a friend and we both laughed so hard that we cried the entire time. Dana Carvey’s impressions were spot on, and he manages to keep everything funny without being mean. I would definitely see him again!
I have loved Dana Carvey for years. We came from Florida to Las Vegas just to see him, and he didn't disappoint. What a talented person. I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants. He really is the best.
We just saw Dana Carvey in Las Vegas at the Mirage on Saturday night! He was absolute perfection we never stopped laughing. I love how he handles all the political voices with ZERO political biases! So Refreshing!! He needs a NetFlix Special my 17 and 23 year old kids didn't know who he was, please pass this brilliant comedienne on to the next generation.
We have been fans of Dana Carvey for years and were so happy to be able to see him live in Vegas. He was even funnier than we had anticipated! We listen to his podcast with David Spade all the time on road trips and his presidential impersonations are so entertaining - we were glad that component was such a big part of his show. The young woman who opened for him was also very good and had us cracking up so good job on that choice too!
Dana Carvey performance was a 10 out of a 10. I haven't laughed that hard in years my face actually hurt. I would highly recommend his show!
Ok, didn’t really think much of his show was funny. I’m glad to have seen him. No need again. I will stick to concerts!!🎸🎸
