Opened in 2018 as a 300-seat venue at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the Comedy Cellar offers the same intimacy and energy as the fabled club that inspired it. In creating the new outpost with Caesars Entertainment, Comedy Cellar owner Noam Dworman has replicated many of the original's most distinctive features as well as its special atmosphere.
Comedy fans can expect to see great sets by veterans of the Cellar's two New York clubs along with the best in new national and international talent. They may also be lucky enough to be there for spontaneous performances by comedy superstars playing elsewhere on the Strip.
Comedy Cellar (Las Vegas) Background
The Comedy Cellar's history began in 1982, when comic Bill Grundfest established a new club underneath a Greenwich Village restaurant. With a more intimate feel than many of New York's comedy hotspots, the Comedy Cellar soon became not just a space for the scene's best new talents to perform but a place where they wanted to hang out, too.
The roster of comedians who became regulars at the Cellar includes Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and Aziz Ansari. It's where Jerry Seinfeld chose to shoot much of his 2002 documentary Comedian. It can also be seen in stage segments in Louis C.K.'s series Louie and Chris Rock's film Top Five.
In 2018, Noam Dworman — who inherited the Cellar from his father Manny — opened the club's first West Coast location in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Closely replicating the original's look and atmosphere, it has become the place to see the country's funniest performers in the kind of warm, intimate room that comedians themselves love best.
Heard Des Bishop was playing in Vegas @ the Comedy Cellar so being from Ireland & knowing Des to be as famous there as Chris Rock is in the States we had to go see him while we were visiting the city. Bonus was the great venue, attentive staff & another a few more great comedians!
Great room, all great performers. Ten outta ten. Would do again in a second. I wish i had comedy like this near home.
My wife and I went to see Carl LaBove. He was awesome, but all of the comedians were funny in their own style. We laughed from beginning to end! Great line-up. Drink service was great as well. All-around great experience.
Comedians were very funny! Nice close atmosphere...only problem was I purchased a VIP food package and the Comedy Cellar claims there was no such package....so I am not sure why a paid extra.......

The comedy cellar is an awesome venue with great drinks and food. The comics were hilarious. We laughed from start to finish and are still talking about the show days later. I would recommend it to anyone in Vegas as it is one of the best things we did during our trip.

My husband and I enjoyed the variety of comedians at the Comedy Cellar - they were all funny and entertaining in different ways. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend the Comedy Cellar Las Vegas. Only area for improvement would be the selection of alcohol. Would be nice to see some champagne and more variety in beer and mixed drinks. Cheers!

The show was funny overall, but waaay more cringe jokes than I’m used to seeing in nyc. I found the use of “Comedy Cellar” way more of a name than a vibe. Shoutout to Owen Smith - he was hilarious.

It was my first time at a comedy show! It blew my expectations! I never laughed so hard. The only thing I didn’t like is being charged $6 for a fountain drink. It ended up being $24 because I had two drink and who I was with had two drinks. I mean for a extra two dollar I could have a alcoholic drink instead. Plus, prices weren’t posted on the menu, but I didn’t expect it to be that much.
The MC is always good. 2 of the 4 comedians were very good. The other 2 need some better material, but fun night out nevertheless.
pretty disappointing. found it extremely hard to laugh. each comic had a classic, overdone theme: one on racism, one on sex, one on being fat, and the other was so boring I can hardly remember a word he said.

Great club and an amazing lineup. I looked at the calendar to pick what lineup I wanted to see. I’ve heard Ari on the Rogan podcast and I listen to the Tuesday’s with Stories podcast (Joe List and Mark Normand). I selected the 7pm show, used a promo code for a discount, and chose VIP seating (which ended up being the second row of seats). My fiancé and I loved it. Gary Veeder was the host and we also saw Mike Veccione. Every one of the comedians was a true pro. I also enjoyed a “This Might Burn Twice...?” cocktail (a jalapeño spicy, passion fruit margarita). Can’t wait to go back.

They were all good and funny! We had food and drinks. Usually anywhere from 3 to 5 comedisms. Enjoyable-
This show is awesome. Each comedian was so different and all of them haf my husband and I laughing the whole time. Highly recommend this show! We sat in the front row and it didnt disappoint.
