Comedy Cellar (Las Vegas) Live
The longest-running comedy club in New York, Comedy Cellar is where audiences discovered such giants of stand-up as Ray Romano, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer and Dave Chappelle. Now fans in Las Vegas can discover more future stars — and catch established favorites, too — at the Comedy Cellar's thrilling new West Coast location.
Opened in 2018 as a 300-seat venue at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the Comedy Cellar offers the same intimacy and energy as the fabled club that inspired it. In creating the new outpost with Caesars Entertainment, Comedy Cellar owner Noam Dworman has replicated many of the original's most distinctive features as well as its special atmosphere.
Comedy fans can expect to see great sets by veterans of the Cellar's two New York clubs along with the best in new national and international talent. They may also be lucky enough to be there for spontaneous performances by comedy superstars playing elsewhere on the Strip.
Comedy Cellar (Las Vegas) Background
The Comedy Cellar's history began in 1982, when comic Bill Grundfest established a new club underneath a Greenwich Village restaurant. With a more intimate feel than many of New York's comedy hotspots, the Comedy Cellar soon became not just a space for the scene's best new talents to perform but a place where they wanted to hang out, too.
The roster of comedians who became regulars at the Cellar includes Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and Aziz Ansari. It's where Jerry Seinfeld chose to shoot much of his 2002 documentary Comedian. It can also be seen in stage segments in Louis C.K.'s series Louie and Chris Rock's film Top Five.
In 2018, Noam Dworman — who inherited the Cellar from his father Manny — opened the club's first West Coast location in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Closely replicating the original's look and atmosphere, it has become the place to see the country's funniest performers in the kind of warm, intimate room that comedians themselves love best.

I get that not all jokes will be funny or something that’ll make me laugh, but when most of the audience is not laughing at your jokes, then something must be wrong. You’re not funny! Out of the four acts that came out, only two of them were somewhat funny. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. Can’t say I would recommend this to anyone I know
It was my sons dream come true, and the surprise comic Craig Robinson! Incredible experience!!!!!
While in Vegas for business we decided to go to the Cellar and saw Jeff Leach, Dean Delray Mark Cohen, Brandi Denise and Ryan Goodcase. All were hilarious and compared to the cost of entertainment in Las Vegas this was easily the most affordable!
Everything went great. The waitress were very nice and kept up with our group of 5. One thing to keep in mind is the room is not big, so even if there are only less expensive seats in the back, you can see everything well.
The venue is fabulous, the people that work there are also fabulous. The comedians were fantastic! Will definitely go back.
One of the best shows and values on Las Vegas. Wife and I are locals and have started becoming regulars to this show. The quality of talent of excellent and who doesn't want to laugh for an hour and half solid. Highly recommend.
Exactly how a comedy night should be, FUNNY!! Didn’t drag on to long, 4 comics all of them great!
The venue and show were nice but I would have like some sort of snack or food for purchase in addition to drinks.
Unfortunately the Grandkids thought "be ready to go to dinner at 5:00 PM"meant 5:40 PM. By the time we got to dinner I knew we'd be late for the show. I also knew we were doomed and open targets for the comedians. Only 2 out of 4 took deserved shots at us. The first guy was merciful on us and the 4th guy was brutal, but hilarious and justified. We were laughing right along with everyone else. Our 30+ years of experience at Comedy Clubs is the headliner is usually a bust, one comedian has you crying you are laughing so hard and the other is good. The Comedy Cellar usually has an MC and 4 comedians. All are usually great and they did not disappoint this time, even though we were the brunt of some of the humor. I also agree with the 18 and over rule for the patrons because some of the subject matter could not be appropriate for young kids. Well worth the price of admission.
