Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

  • Should've seen it in a major city

by Laura on 4/13/24The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

The show itself was wonderful. It was amazing how a limited cast and no large set changes only enhanced the skills of the actors. The music at the end was a huge highlight. My issue was where we saw this performance. I will never ever go to Santander Performing Arts Centers again. Do not confuse this playhouse with the Santander Arena in Reading--they are not the same building. I left a review on the playhouse's website so I will not rehash it here. My advice though if you want to see this wonderful show, go to a major city and not an inefficient, expensive, and unskilled venue such as the Performing Arts Center. High school musical productions and community theater locations are superior. My only criticism about the play is that the beginning part felt a bit drawn out and I started to lose a bit of interest. However, it got much stronger in the second half. Again, nothing to do with the acting (that was wonderful), but the storyline dipped a bit.

The show was absolutely amazing! I appreciated the fact that there was no intermission and that the show was nonstop. The show touched all kinds of emotions, from sadness to humor. Great job to the actors!

  • Disappointed

by Walt on 4/13/24The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

Many persons raved about this play and after i had visited Gander NF and reading the book I was anxious to see the play. The staging and music were terrific. Unfortunately the voices if the actors were hard to hear and we missed many of the comedic moments. This may have been due to the venue

  • Incredible Show!

I had the amazing opportunity to see this show in Scranton, PA as part of their national tour. The show was incredible. The company was amazing. The show takes you through a whirlwind of emotions and helps share an incredible story about an event that changed the way we view the world forever.

  • Beautiful Theme

by Teena on 4/10/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Loved the message of Come From Away. Cast did an amazing job in portraying the difficulties of hosting strangers stuck in their town and how selfless they were to their guests. Still humming the Prayer of St. Francis as it was so prayerfully sung. This is a must-see to share the goodness in people.

  • Come from every where and see “Come from Away!

by John on 4/9/24Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

This was so much fun. 3 days later and I’m still happy from this play! So entertaining, it was absolutely the best 1.5 hours of riveting entertainment. Such a great script and acting execution, that it brings you into the play, that you see yourself in that moment and makes you wish you were part of the real experience. It shares the best, worst and different emotions of humanity. Makes you realize how we can and should improve as a society, civilization and a world.

Was totally not expecting to have the experience I had. Had no idea they could create such a gripping, moving, emotional, funny, story out of such an event. This is an absolute no-brainer, theatrical event that you need to experience.

  • Just a guy....

by Cack on 4/8/24Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

In the future, I shall deal directly with the Scranton Cultureal Center box office. Sadly, my first try was routed to a ticket company which resulted in ticket prices way too inflated. (Four to five times the box office prices!!) Never again!! The show itself was wonderful; great cast, terrific presentation, and a creative staging!!

  • Broadway Quality Production

by Bobbo on 4/8/24Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I dispensed with tours many years ago, having been disappointed with the caliber of shows compared to Broadway. That said, we both were thrilled at the Scranton production of Come From Away. We bought tickets for the show having missed the Broadway production, and were concerned about what we might experience. However, the actors, the music, the choreography, and the set were all first rate, to match the compelling story line. Cannot praise this event enough!
