  • First time visiting

    by Cardinal T on 9/25/24Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

As long as I’ve lived in Louisville, I had actually never been inside Churchill Downs. The Family Adventure was the perfect opportunity to experience this legendary venue. The kids loved it and we got to see a few races. I would definitely do this again!

  • Races were fun to watch. Rain...not so much.

Two complaints: 1) They gave us rules beforehand for Churchill Downs such as no umbrellas. But were they reinforced? Not at all. Umbrellas were being used everywhere near the track. If I had known that, I would have 100% brought mine instead of sitting in the rain getting soaked in my rain jacket while watching the races. 2) Better signage throughout needed. It was a little chaotic there with kids/families around.

by Horse Lover on 10/4/23Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I loved Churchill Downs. I’m a huge racing fan. I wasn’t there specifically for Family Fun Day, just the races. Would’ve dressed more comfortably for the heat if I’d known they weren’t enforcing the published dress code.

We had a great time! Kids had fun with crafts, face painting and jumping! Also, did a little horse betting😊

  • Not older kid friendly play

We have two 11 year olds and typically there are multiple fun things for them to do as well as a petting zoo. This year it seemed much more small child friendly. Unfortunate
