Exciting news for fans going to Buddy’s sold out shows at Palais Theatre, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram has been announced as the support act.
That means they’ll get to see the next generation of American blues artists opening for the last of the greats.
Ingram’s journey began in the 662 in the city of Clarksdale, in Coahoma County, Mississippi, just ten miles from the legendary crossroads of Highways 61 and 49. Born to a musical family, he fell in love with music as a small child, initially playing drums and then bass. At a young age, he got his first guitar and quickly soaked up music from Robert Johnson to Lightnin’ Hopkins, from B.B. King to Muddy Waters, from Jimi Hendrix to Prince, but all the while developing his own sound and style.
Since the release of Kingfish, his Grammy-nominated 2019 Alligator Records debut, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has quickly become the defining blues voice of his generation.
662 is the next chapter in the still-unfolding story of Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. He describes 662 as his own personal journey, a story that sits upon the legacy of his influential blues elders. The songs—reflecting his life in and away from his home in the Delta—speak to universal truths, as well as to similar experiences shared by his large and growing multi-generational, multi-cultural fan base. From the blistering, hometown title track, 662, to the irresistible She Calls Me Kingfish to the slow, soulful and poignant Another Life Goes By to the funky truth-telling Too Young To Remember, 662 overflows with hard-hitting songs, jaw-dropping guitar work and deep, soul-possessed vocals. NPR Music says Ingram’s playing is “astounding…it’s almost like he’s singing through the guitar.”
What a most excellent show. I think everyone attendance would agree!
Kingfish is so talented & put on an excellent show. It is difficult to get an ADA seat there. I prefer not to stand for 4 hours
Absolutely spectacular show on ALL levels. Impressive, inclusive, loving artist.
The kingfish lived up to the first part of his moniker. He definitely makes his guitars talk in a very sexy bluesy way. And his other three band mates were all great too. I had just seen him open for Buddy Guy a few months back so I was all over getting tickets for his show. Took a hand full of friends and they are in a band and all had great reviews too. Worth the price of admission for sure. The blues lives in!
Kingfish puts on one of the greatest live performances you will ever see. At just 25 he plays the guitar and sings as if she’s been alive for 100 years. It’s not too long into the concert that you realize you are seeing one of the greatest to ever do it!
One of the best dang shows I've seen in a while pure music real expression . Moby dick is black and is name is KingFish
I have been following Kingfish for a few years and was finally able to see him at the Brooklyn Bowl. Amazing show with a great opening act. Kingfish is a solid guitar player with a classic voice. He plays with so much passion, you can feel the love he has for the blues.
Christone (Kingfish) Ingram Has Brought a smooth as silk, and sweet as cherry pie style to the Blues table. His guitar sings out notes of Peace and Love. "I Like It, I Love It, I Want Some More Of It " He is the Real Deal!
Just finished watching Kingfish's show at Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, I knew he was good. But good doesnt even come close to describing this guy's talent! His first headlining event in Las Vegas, he knocked it out of the park!. He will be legendary! Not to be left out was a first time opening act who was very good with his own 3 PC band, part way through Christone show he came out and played, it was incredible! His name is Artur Menezes, and is from Brazil. You will be seeing more of this gentleman, , and you will like what he does!
This venue is the perfect setting for concerts. Taj Farrant is a great new talent and this was his first big festival !! Christine “Kingfish” Ingrams music was even better than last year!! His new album from London WOW can’t wait to see you with Buddy Guy this summer 🎶🎶🎶🎶
This was an amazing show. kingfish and Taj Farrant ripped it up.. I love the venue.. lots of bars, lots of food and executive bathrooms.. no long lines anywhere. No bad seats.
100% Blues at its best. Incredibly good artists incredibly sincere in their art. Both Christone Kingfish and Taj are not to be missed if they’re playing near you! Just Go!
I have seen KingFish twice in Knoxville Tennessee at the Bijou Theater the 1st was on my birthday 1-15 and was the best concert I ever witnessed at the Bijou. With the Fabolous Taj Farrant opening was awesome.Im going do best to be on board of Joe Bonamassa Blues Cruise in 2025.
Kingfish was wonderful. I wish he sang more, must of been the end of a group of shows. Anyway, he was awesome. I saw him at a festival in Norwich ,NY. Have been following him ever since. That boy can play the guitar. Fort Mose is a beautiful venue. I didn't know what to expect but OMG, you all have a wonderful relaxing secret there. I love how the trees were all light up, heaters if it is cold, great food trucks and plenty of room to dance if you want. I have told a bunch of friends about Kingfish and the venue and they to wish they had gone. Kingfish come back again soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Peace and Love. Ellen
We will back to this festival ! But Chris was Amazing my husband is a huge fan and I surprised him and he was so happy We love the crowd and the festival grounds just feels soulful thank you for an amazing evening
The Kingfish rules. His blues is contemporary, but rooted in Delta and Chicago blues. It's not just high end shredding, but tuneful, melodic, syncopated, and exciting.
I got these tickets as a way to celebrate my husbands birthday! The show was amazing! Ft Mose staff were incredible hosts. I would definitely like to see him again.
Fabulous! Ft. Mose is such a great venue. Wonderful ambiance, intimate setting, great music and great food. Didn't know much about this guy before the concert, but I was truly blown away by his Exceptional performance! So cool he actually played off-stage in the center row.
Let's be honest; we witnessed something VERY special in the 14 year old phenom Taj Farrant that kicked off the show. His blistering guitar work simply shredded and set the guitar virtuosity bar so high that no one could possibly follow him. Even Kingish had to say, "How was Taj? We'll be working real hard up here!" Couple that with the horrible lighting work in which for the first 3 songs they flashed yellow lights into the audience causing us to constantly close our eyes and shield them, and you don't start off the second/main act well. We admit we left after 4 songs, but were thrilled to have seen Taj and the start of what we all hope will be a wonderful career for him!
The Friday night concert was fantastic. We loved the venue; the food was great, the view of the stage was good, and the bathrooms were clean and accessible. But the music that night was incredible! Both bands blew us away. I will not miss this concert series next year.
