Chicago Sky History
The Chicago Sky are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team played their first season in 2006, then qualified for their first postseason in 2013 before advancing to the Finals for the first time in 2014. Initially led by Sylvia Fowles, who won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice as a member of Chicago, the Sky experienced more success with 2015 MVP Elena Delle Donne and seven-time league assist leader Courtney Vandersloot. In 2021, the Chicago Sky won their first WNBA Championship with a squad featuring Vandersloot, Finals MVP Kahleah Copper and seven-time All-Star Candace Parker. After the Sky drafted Angel Reese in 2024, the rookie center set the WNBA record for highest single-season rebound average and later earned the league’s Peak Performer honor for rebounds.

Chicago Sky at Wintrust Arena

The 10,387-seat facility opened in 2017, though the Sky played their first full season at their new home court in 2018. The relocation marked a major change for the Chicago Sky, who previously played outside of their home city at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Great time! Reasonably priced and a fun atmosphere.
There isn't a bad seat in the house. Concessions are a-ok - and we even ended up in some special VIP section unexpectedly. Not sure if it's always the case, but sections 106-110 had a special all you can eat buffet AND free beers. It was awesome getting to watch some top-notch basketball at such a close distance. The same price I paid would have gotten me nose bleeds at the united center. We brought the little sister and she LOVED all of it. Seats were great, game was great - highly recommended!
Great game I would definitely be going to another game
Really nice arena. Smaller than United Center, but plenty of space. I feel this arena is a work in progress. It seems to be very new. It's nice that the Hyatt is attached to this building (in case you have a guest from out of town or if you want an evening away from home). Parking was only $10 for the Chicago Sky game. We went on June 1st. The National Anthem was beautifully sung and the halftime show had the same singers--who were great. The cheerleaders were children who were so cute and talented. I didn't see a place to buy Chicago Sky t-shirts or sweatshirts. I only saw 1 food vendor (maybe I didn't know where to look). Otherwise, nice evening out.
I had a great time at the Sky game. I dreaded going to Allstate Arena and I thought it was fan killer. Bad enough women's basketball is ridiculed unjustly, but this arena brought the ladies back to the city with a very welcoming arena. It's a great atmosphere. I'll go again.
There has never been a better time than to GET OUT and SUPPORT our very own WNBA team: Chicago Sky. The new arena is right DOWNTOWN and easy to walk to from the Green line or from McCormik place. Let's DO IT!!!
A great game the Sky had a double digit lead in the first half only to have the Wings come back and hold off a late comeback by the the Sky who had a last chance but couldn't convert Wings won 99-96 and clinched a playoff spot led by Skylar Diggins 28 points !
What an event for me and my kids! We enjoyed from the beginning to the end.
Good game, wonderful moment ! We'll do it again for another time !
This was a great game my granddaughter is a fan of both the Sky and Dallas she said it was hard to cheer loud but being a basketball ball player she watch the game with intense
Great for my first time going other than maya Moore not showing out like she normally do but overall good
Allstate Arena is relatively easy to find. There are officers who stop traffic and flag you into the free parking lot. The security guards admit you very quickly and the ushers help you find your seats. There are plenty of restrooms and concessions stands. The crowds are polite. I enjoy taking my daughter to the WNBA games here!
The Chicago Sky team under the new coaching style of Amber Stokes is outstanding. The entire game and arena events are fun and engaging. You can tell who the real fans are and the athleticism of the women is outstanding. I would not hold a chance against many of them. Keep up the great outreach to the community.
The players were friendly. They talk to you,They tell you what's up!.More friendly then NBA.The guys wouldn't have not been friendly. The game was amazing I would differently recommend a friend to a Sky game.
It was so much fun attending this game. Great competition and the players are really caring to the fans. I am their number 1 fan!
Venue easy to get in and out of, adequate security
What an exceptional game, against the league-leaders! Everyone contributed, for sure, and it was great to see forwards going strong to the hoop against a big Lynx front line, great to see Tam Young's greater confidence and effectiveness in both shooting and defense, great to see Imani's big block at the end. But it was our guards--Pondexter, Faulkner and Sloot--who out-hustled and out-shot some great Lynx players. This team, with everyone healthy and with the bigs and the guards producing at their best, can be a championship contender!
Great experience, great seats, great price. Great atmosphere, highly recommended.
Had a blast. Fabulous, friendly crowd, loved the mascot and the gymnasts, and jaw dropping great basketball. Easy free parking. We're coming back!
The Chicago Sky is an incredible team, and of course, the game was amazing; Hands-down. The Allstate arena's staff makes the experience great, though. The half-time events and give-away's were very nice and entertaining. Chicago is full of great talent and it seems like they sought out the talented and showcased them!
