Chicago Sky History

The Chicago Sky are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team played their first season in 2006, then qualified for their first postseason in 2013 before advancing to the Finals for the first time in 2014. Initially led by Sylvia Fowles, who won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice as a member of Chicago, the Sky experienced more success with 2015 MVP Elena Delle Donne and seven-time league assist leader Courtney Vandersloot. In 2021, the Chicago Sky won their first WNBA Championship with a squad featuring Vandersloot, Finals MVP Kahleah Copper and seven-time All-Star Candace Parker. After the Sky drafted Angel Reese in 2024, the rookie center set the WNBA record for highest single-season rebound average and later earned the league’s Peak Performer honor for rebounds.

I wouldn't pay for high price tickets, you can see the game at any seat. I was on the floor for 47 a ticket and I wish I was higher to see better.

The Chicago Sky was phenomenal against the LA Sparks ; the Sky"s defense and offense were right on target. Way to go Sky. I envision the Sky as future championship contenders.

Great experience and good time for the family. Although the restrooms could have been a little cleaner.

I am totally impressed with the high skill level and overall athletic ability of the Chicago Sky women's basketball players. Chicago Sky has a very good team, see them now. Great event to take your family and affordable. I saw the game against San Antonio and it was both entertaining and exciting. Highly recommend this event - Let's support women's basketball.

  • This game was a nail biter!

by SkyGroupie on 6/11/13Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicago Sky is an awesome team! They play with a lot of heart and passion. Sylvia Fowles is amazing to watch. Courtney Vandersloot is as fast as lightning and was evenly matched with an equally speedy player on San Antonio. The tenacity, power, and determination of these women is inspiring to all! Throughout the first quarter the Sky and Silver Stars were neck in neck. Then the Sky pulled forward with a 10 point lead. The Silver Stars came back with a vengence in the 3rd quarter and evened up the score. The arena does a great job entertaining the crowd with fun, loud, energetizing music, awesome tumblers, and of course The Sky Guy!

Long time fan of women's basketball. Watched many of these women play in college as my grand daughter played D-1 BB. This is a whole new level of BB. It is fast-paced and exciting. We were so impressed we immediately purchased a 5-game package of tickets with great seats.

  • Great Sky Win

by Anonymous on 6/8/13Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

WNBA basketball has improved a lot and the Sky looks like they have a very good chance to go to the playoffs for the first time. Elena Della Donne is going to be a great player. She is a star already. If everyone stays healthy, it should be a great year for the Sky.
