CHEAP TRICK IN CONCERT:
More than four decades after their debut, hard rock titans Cheap Trick continue to possess the same energy and flair that made them an arena rock staple in the '70s. The band has enjoyed an unbroken run ever since their formation in 1973, and it's easy to see why — their chemistry on stage is undeniable, and they clearly have a blast as they treat fans to nostalgic performances of classics like "Surrender" and "The Flame." Back on the road in 2014 with fellow hard rockers Boston, Cheap Trick will bring their signature high-energy show to fans around the country on a string of highly anticipated dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Illinois in 1973, Cheap Trick recorded demos and toured throughout the Midwest before releasing their self-titled 1977 debut. The album failed to find an audience in the US, but it earned them a fan base in Europe and Japan, setting the stage for their future popularity stateside. While sophomore album In Color contained their highly regarded single "I Want You To Want Me," the band didn't make it onto the US charts until "Surrender" was released as the lead single of 1978's Heaven Tonight. By the early '80s the band was selling out arenas around the globe, achieving their most significant popularity in Japan, where enthusiasm over their tours reached Beatlemania-esque proportions. With more than four decades of hard-rocking live shows under their belts, Cheap Trick will bring plenty of veteran know-how with them on their upcoming tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"After 40 years of constant touring and albums, Cheap Trick still rocks! They put on an amazing show with lots of energy. They interacted with the audience and seem so accessible to the crowd."
"Real blast from the past. They haven't slowed down a bit and rocked the house."
"As always, Cheap Trick put on an awesome show. Robin Zander is the best lead singer on the planet & the playlist was great."

Cheap Trick is always amazing when you see them live. Their set list always changes, so you never know what songs you will hear...but you know they will be great. I have seen them multiple times at different venues, twice now at Brown County. Whether they are opening for someone or it is their own show, they rock the place every single time. Catch a show if they come near you!!!
This was a fantastic show. Cheap Trick sounded great (as always). The venue is the perfect size. People were friendly. And Brown County seemed like a lovely community with cute restaurants and businesses. We hope to be back next year.
It was a great show as usual. I don’t get enough of it!
Great performance. They’ve still got it! Last time I saw them was in the 70’s. So glad I got another chance.
I enjoyed the magnetism of Robin Zander and the charisma of Rick Neilsen!
Always try to make a Cheap Trick show because they are so good.
Cheap Trick a great band to see live , Great form , sound and totally intertwined with the crowd. Love the selection from a great catalog of songs and added a special one for the date. To see them having such a great time performing with each other and for the fans. You may not always want to see bands over and over but this one is worth seeing again and again. If you are into 70s to now rock its a must bucket list group!
Cheap Trick was awesome as always. They still sound great. The vocals are amazing. Rick is hilarious. This was a great venue. Not a bad seat anywhere.
Band was excellent. Venue was easy to get into. Lots of parking. Only 10 miles from home.
Loved the show. The band was amazing! Cheap Trick rocked. Small venue, distortion ran through my bones and brain. Crowds however amaze me. Who goes to a concert to sit down or be bothered by those that stand. The band is on their feet for the entire show, how does the audience just sit. I get my seats at the end of the isles so I don't upset anyone but really attendees!? My son and I were approached and clawed by some drunken acrylics to have a seat. Thank goodness the venue let us stand in the isle. Thanks again Cheap Trick!
Great concert in a great small venue at Gila River Casino in Arizona. No opening band was needed, and the band performed all the great hits we would expect.
I’ve been seeing CT for 46 years. They never disappoint. Robin sounded great. His son on guitar and vocals. Rick was terrific as well and his son on the drums. Small venue so not a bad seat anywhere. Merchandise and Bar inside the showroom so you don’t miss anything. Drinks crazy expensive. $10 for water.
Really nice set once again from CT!! Robin sounded great tonight. Rick was himself throwing picks at everyone. Cool show with both sons playing as well. Tom sounded good. Nice long set!🎤👍🎸🍻💵A++++
Seen the band several times over the years, going back to 1978 -- but none since 2008/9. This iteration (with young drummer; etc.) just KILLS IT!! Especially noteworthy is Zander's voice and moxy, along with modern sound equipment, makes the music stunningly impressive!! Everyone on the stage focused on making every one of their songs, spanning their entire career, incredible works of rock-n-roll!! Really liked the aid, and inspiration, brought out by the two sons -- reminded me of what Wolfgang did for Edward (Van Halen). Hope this means more decades of Cheap Trick (& additional albums -- both live, and studio). Finally, showcases the genius of Rick Nielsen, one of the brainchilds of classic rock that we know and love today! (Thank you, and stay well!!!!)
Fantastic show! Enjoyed a date night with my Wife.
If you want to see a band that gets better with age this is the band. When they headline a show you are going to get at least 18 to 20 songs. I will always go see them when they are in town.
Rick Nielsen might have lost a step in walking but certainly not in his playing he is as masterful as ever. And Robin Zander must have gave up the whiskey and the cigarettes because he sounds better than he did 30 years ago. And his kid is even better. Rick's kid Drexel I believe is no slouch either on the drum kit
Listening to Cheap Trick was a good experience. The group continues to put out new music, but for me I would rather hear their older music. They are putting out really hard core rock which was too loud for me.
Cheap Trick never fails they are always so damn GOOD - Glad we got a headline show instead of the opening gig for Heart - Cheap Trick The hardest working band still around from fifty plus years ago
