CHEAP TRICK IN CONCERT:
More than four decades after their debut, hard rock titans Cheap Trick continue to possess the same energy and flair that made them an arena rock staple in the '70s. The band has enjoyed an unbroken run ever since their formation in 1973, and it's easy to see why — their chemistry on stage is undeniable, and they clearly have a blast as they treat fans to nostalgic performances of classics like "Surrender" and "The Flame." Back on the road in 2014 with fellow hard rockers Boston, Cheap Trick will bring their signature high-energy show to fans around the country on a string of highly anticipated dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Illinois in 1973, Cheap Trick recorded demos and toured throughout the Midwest before releasing their self-titled 1977 debut. The album failed to find an audience in the US, but it earned them a fan base in Europe and Japan, setting the stage for their future popularity stateside. While sophomore album In Color contained their highly regarded single "I Want You To Want Me," the band didn't make it onto the US charts until "Surrender" was released as the lead single of 1978's Heaven Tonight. By the early '80s the band was selling out arenas around the globe, achieving their most significant popularity in Japan, where enthusiasm over their tours reached Beatlemania-esque proportions. With more than four decades of hard-rocking live shows under their belts, Cheap Trick will bring plenty of veteran know-how with them on their upcoming tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"After 40 years of constant touring and albums, Cheap Trick still rocks! They put on an amazing show with lots of energy. They interacted with the audience and seem so accessible to the crowd."
"Real blast from the past. They haven't slowed down a bit and rocked the house."
"As always, Cheap Trick put on an awesome show. Robin Zander is the best lead singer on the planet & the playlist was great."

All 3 bands sounded fantastic!!! It was a great night. I wish Night Ranger would have played longer.
Don’t let the gray hair stop you from seeing this concert! They all still got IT! I can’t say who was best as they were all great!
Great concert! Loverboy was off the hook and sounded amazing! Night Ranger really good too! Cheap Trick was also really good. I think Loverboy was amazing though! Great show!! 😎 Thanks for a good time!
All three bands performed flawlessly, and the music was great, but Night Ranger really, and unexpectedly to me, hit it out of the park!! I went for cheap trick and lover boy and left enamored with night ranger! They really brought everything back to life and were incredibly entertaining, and proving their skills are timeless. I really loved the old videos behind them. That was a great touch. There were a few times when one of the bands was playing when there were some pretty bright lights that kept shining our way, almost blinding, and I could’ve done without that, but overall, everything was great. I love the venue and would love to come back more often, but have to pick and choose because the ticket prices are pretty crazy… you should throw in a drink ticket for that price!
I won't be paying money to see Cheap Trick again. Really disappointed with everything but the guitar player...
I've been a fan since the 70 s, they didn't disappoint.
Well, Cheap Trick was rocking the house and would imagine would’ve sounded fantastic anywhere else but here, but the sound system was turned up way too loud to where you couldn’t understand what they were saying and it literally was awful. I’ll think twice before I go back to Spotlight I should’ve got up and complained or asked for my money back. I was so disappointed as I was excited to see Cheap Trick. They were fantastic totally not their fault but Spotlight, 29 needs to do something with their sound system or hire someone that knows how to work the thing
The band, in my opinion, hasn’t lost any modicum of talent over these years. Robin’s voice is still one of the best in rock and roll (what a range). Nice to have the second generation there on stage too, thoroughly into it. The joint was rocking and nobody around me sat down! Thanks to the band.
I screwed up and couldn't go to my show. Contacting Ticketmaster waa Zero help. I couldn't sell or transfer my ticket, even within 20 minutes of purchasing it. I couldn't even gift it to anyone. Now I'm left fighting with my visa. My suggestion is to buy tickets from any other seller. Ticketmaster begged me for a review, so this is it. Fix your system
Great tunes - starting with Dream Police was great. Xander's singing's OUTSTANDING. He still has thew pipes, but Rick's guitar playing was borderline unprofessional. There was a rhythm guitarist so Rick was strictly leads. To my ear it was mainly tricks and pullouts - almost no runs that you could say were premeditated. I would recommend immediately adding a lead guitarist and with Xander's vocals, they could still tour a few years. Overall great tunes but poorly played.
Robin Zander sounded great. Rick Nielsen was his usual stellar and quirky self. Great venue.
I travelled from the UK for this show because I love this band so much. Worth every penny spent. Just wish they would come to the UK so I could save a bit of money 😲
Robins Voice is STILL so incredible. They're great. seen them 3 times in the last 18 months....cant wait til they come back .
We made our trek out to Indio from Orange County. To see the start of Cheap Trick’s 2025 tour this year. It was well worth the drive. The band was awesome. They played for about 90 minutes. The music is very sharp. The vocals are spot on and the band has not lost a step in the 40 years. I’ve been watching them. So when they come to your town, get out there and see them.
Been waiting 40 years to see this band and they did not disappoint. Lead singers vocals were terrific, felt like 1978 all over again. Highly recommended if you get the chance!! Venue was great, easy in and out and staff was friendly.
Super high energy, no tricks, just high power rock n roll, from the guys who’ve been doing it for well over 50 years. They really connected with the audience, which probably explains why it was packed, out in the middle of the SoCal desert. Equally great energy from the crowd. I felt like I was 17 again seeing Rick Nielsen’s band in the school cafeteria.
They were surprisingly amazing. Many guitar changes and definitely displayed their musical talent. The venue was nice and very accommodating , although the sound system could use some enhancements.
The venue was great the vibe was great and we had the best time listening to the boys playing it sooo good. The songs all bringing back memories of my younger days and my best friend from those days. We had a blast making new friends and reminiscing about times when we saw them before and just goes to show things get better with age and good times with ROCK AND ROLL!!!!
Had a great time and was able to scratch another shoe off my bucket list! Cheap Trick did not disappoint-they still rock!
2nd time seeing them in a year, they have a great show very wenergetic for being older group, can’t wait to catch them again just an awesome live band to see.
