    Good Times

by Mike on 9/25/22Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Broken Social Scene put on a great show I loved the horn section They had some really cool keyboard and guitar pedal sounds Vocals were good aside from a little feedback from one mic. Rural Alberta Advantage put on a strong opener as well.

Amazing location, beautiful interior. The concert I went to see was beyond what I expected, and completely ethereal. Highly recommend Webster Hall for future events!

These guys are amazing. I was absolutely ecstatic when Emily Haines made a surprise appearance. Webster Hall is also looking pretty good after the renovations! Next time Broken Social Scene is in town make sure you don't miss them!

    One of my favourite bands

by Jenn on 4/28/19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I have seen Broken Social Scene many times. At outdoor venues and indoor. I'm never really disappointed. I was very happy that Feist was there! At the beginning of the show Kevin's amp had to be swapped out. During that time Brendan started a improv music interlude, Brendan was being funny, then everyone turned something annoying like an amp breaking into something fun and unique. When I go to see Broken social scene I always try to be front row, I love to see everyone interacting and I feel the energy more. I don't know if it's just me but I can't usually hear Feists vocals. This time I couldn't really hear Kevin's either. I could hear Ariel perfectly and Brendan and Andrew. But no matter where I go and see them I can't hear feist. I can see she is singing her heart out. I always just chalked it up to me being so close. But then why can everyone else be heard. I still wouldn't trade sitting way in the back. I can't really say anything negative about my experiences, just wish I could hear feist more. 😊

by karnitas on 10/30/17Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

I've been wanting to see this band for over a decade and this couldn't have been a better environment to finally see them in. I appreciate the ease of getting in and out. And I felt safe and it wasn't too crowded.

Seen Broken Social Scene 3x - easily the highlight. Kevin Drew strode into the GA section to sing two songs, amazing!

Broken Social Scene always exceeds my expectations

by Frickinawe on 10/6/17The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Broken Social Scene (a rotating Canadian alt rock supergroup) were running on a lean nine-member ensemble last night, which at first I thought might not fill out their usual chaotic orchestral sound. However to my surprise having half as many instruments squealing at the heavens really let each bit of sound wave present shine. An amazing night of music, pep talks about the state of our union and the world, a pause for communal scream therapy, a marriage proposal between two lovestruck fans, as well as bandleader Kevin Drew coming into the crowd for five minutes of free hugs, of which I was lucky enough to get one! Thank you to the band for the musical impact and spiritual recharge.

I thought the opening band Ra ra riot was awesome and Broken Social Scene is always a great treat and an honor to see live :) Only one thing is that I feel like the stage was set up a bit far away from the audiences.

Broken Social Scene blew me away yet again

by fiercewords on 5/3/11The Warfield - San Francisco

This was the 4th time I've seen BSS live and they just keep getting better and better. They are such a tight band, totally in synch with each other, and there show seems loosely planned. So, you're basically getting an improvised set. At least, that's how it feels - authentic and genuine and totally what the band is feeling. For that reason, I always enjoy the unpredictable nature of their live shows. Always good and always real. For this show, they covered a Modest Mouse song, one that I can't remember the name of, but it was a nice surprise.

    Great Show!

by ronaso on 4/17/11The Warfield - San Francisco

It wasn't unforgettable for me but it was certainly a great experience. I feel a good connection between the band and the crowd. I love how Broken Social Scene bypasses silly encore waits and goes straight into overtime. Fantastic music. Very fun to watch.
