Awesome that people today can still dance like those back then! I actually think the tap dancing was BETTER than anything I have seen on all those Turner Classic Movies I watch! "Phil" is a fantastic dancer, as is "Judy"

  • White Christmas - Very Disappointing

by LWEB76424 on 12/26/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

The show was entertaining and the dancing was very impressive; however, I took my young kids to see this "family friendly show". The classic movie that we all love has been modernized with gratuitous sexual references throughout. This was a great disappointment to me and I would never have taken my kids, had I known what to expect.

  • definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit

  • White Christmas

by Sissi6 on 12/25/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

I must say I was extremely disappointed in this production. During the first act there were technical difficulties. The part of Judy needed a stronger singer. This is the first and last time I will see the live stage production. I will watch the movie from this point forward.

  • White Christmas amazing

White Christmas was amazing production. Originally was not going but decided at the last minute to attend and glad I did.

  • White Christmas was not WHITE CHRISTMAS

by LK43 on 12/25/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

I guess my expectations were for it to be the White Christmas I grew up with and loved. I couldn't enjoy the show that was being performed for thinking of how different it was from the original. Although I understand there are limitations producing it on a stage, I still don't get the reasoning behind the changes and leaving out parts that were always high in my memory bank, like leaving out the white horse and the old war injury. The four main characters were reduced to just four among many. I had to come home and watch the original to chase the bad memory away. I truly wished I hadn't gone!!

I didn't care for this production of White Christmas. I don't understand why they had to add songs that weren't in the original movie. There were so many wonderful songs from the movie that could have been used. The granddaughter was to young. The singing was not stellar and I learned after the show that the understudies did this performance. We should have been able to pay less for the show. I think if you are going to call it Irving Berlins White Christmas then it should have followed the movie more closely. There was no standing ovation for this show from the audience so I'm sure many felt as everyone in my group did. By the way, this is the first musical I've seen at Fair Park that I didn't just love. Better luck next time!

  • Very enjoyable Holiday Event

by snowandsnow on 12/24/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

My wife and our adult daughters bought tickets for this play in order "to get into the Holiday Spirit." Ya know what? They said White Christmas did the trick! Thanks.

  • Irving Berlin's White Christmas was spectacular!

by Anonymous on 12/24/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Don't expect this show to be a regurgitation of the movie. Don't get me wrong, it follows the movie script somewhat but with dance adaptations and songs that didn't make the movie. In addition, you won't see the Minstral show or Choreography. And don't dare expect to hear a Bing Crosby or Rosemary Cloiney voice - this is Broadway. So, if you are a White Christmas movie fanatic, you may be disappointed. However, this show explains some things that the movie didn't. The dancing was fantastic. I specificaly loved the tap dancing scenes. Phenomenal! This show was extremely entertaining! I give it four stars.
