What's "Christmas" about this show?
by Bubbascant on 12/20/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 1 out of 5The advertising for this made everyone of us in my family attending think it was going to be a Christmas show. Aside from the opening number, we were treated to broadway fare. I never saw the original movie. I suppose "Blue Skies, nothing but blue skies" fits right in. Not. We left at intermission. And you might want to consider your stage sets/position. As we were stuck way in the back right of the auditorium, there were scenes at tables or other times where we couldn't even see the actors. I've never been this far back at Fair Park (and never will again) as it makes it hard to see. The sound was awful. I have zero hearing problems but being so far back, and with the overhanging terrace seats above us which probably blocked a lot of sound, you might consider doing some surround speakers or something that pumps up the volume. What a waste of time and money. It was a horrible evening. Quit promoting the show like it's "Christmas fare" when it's not.
