About

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

  • Something to Talk About

by Lloyd on 4/29/25Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie is still top notch entertainment . At 75, she commands the stage with her charm, wit, powerful voice and great slide guitar skills. Her band is also tight and talented. Bonnie’s song selection was an excellent array of music from her long career. I am glad I finally got to see her in concert. Having seen the original Allman Brothers band four times, Johnny Winter, BB King, Peter Frampton, Tedeschi & Trucks and many others, I have to say Bonnie can hold her own with them. The venue, acoustics, staff and parking are one of the best music venues in the southeast. If you have the opportunity to see Bonnie Raitt don’t hesitate to attend.

  • Totally Blown Away

by Kevin on 4/29/25Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie’s voice is as pure as I remember and her band is superb. I’ve listened to her for decades and she sounds the same as she did 40 years ago. Her interaction with the audience made me feel she was in my living room. I thoroughly enjoyed her show.

  • Music outstanding Venue leaking

by Cat on 4/26/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt has an amazing voice and stage presence. We truly enjoyed the music. The venue’s, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium at Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville NC, roof was leaking in a significant way. Many had to sit in different seats because there were mop buckets in their assigned seats to catch the water. It was a little disconcerting to watch the ceiling drop chunks during the concert. We found our attention often drawn away from the concert over concern for the water coming through the ceiling.

  • Worth the Wait!

by Dee on 4/26/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt postponed her concert because of Hurricane Helene devastating Asheville. She honored ticket holders and it was more than worth the wait. Her voice is still such a joy to listen to and her set list was just fantastic. I especially enjoyed hearing the African song she recorded with Oliver Mtukudzi and Angel from Montgomery by John Prine. I love that she honors singer songwriters by performing their songs.

  • Great show but facility was lacking

by A fan on 4/26/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie was great but I (and others that I was with ) did not enjoy the opening act. It was painful to sit through and wish I had arrived an hour late. The facility was also lacking. In addition to uncomfortable seats that give you 3 inches of knee room ( and I have short legs) , the ceiling was falling in. I saw water actually falling and there was evidence of water damage in several areas. I will not return to the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium until it is remodeled.

  • Bonnie is great ~ fantastic show!

by DebG on 4/26/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Bonnie was great! Sarah Suskind was ok ~ glad she is a local talent. The venue is awful ~ so outdated!! Not comfortable. Paint peeling from ceiling, etc. Bathrooms are too small & outdated. Exits not clearly marked and too few. I WILL NOT go back to this venue!!!!!

  • Bonnie was great!

by Babskwa on 4/26/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Bonnie, shined! Great selection of tunes, tributes and remembrances. The band was great too. The Thomas Wolf auditorium is an embarrassment for her to play in. Put some money into repairs and remodel.

  • Bonnie still brings it -fantastic show!

by flypaper on 4/23/25Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Ms. Bonnie is still crushing it at 75 years young! Masterful at slide guitar, and her voice is as strong as ever. Great show- highly recommend.

  • Audience Chatter

by A legend on 4/23/25Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

Guests in front of me talked constantly throughout the performance. It was so distracting. Disappointed to see a world-class performer like Bonnie Raitt with people talking throughout. Also, best not to sit through an exit door at the Borgata. Guests going in and out constantly. If you're interested in more considerate guests I would choose another venue.

  • Bonnie was great, opener was terrible

by Carol P on 4/23/25Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time in Atlantic City and the Borgata - we came specifically to see Bonnie and wanted to stay at the same place as the concert. THAT was very convenient - to just go upstairs to our room after the show. The opening act, Larry John McNally, was terrible. He can sing and play guitar, but his song choices were boring and uninteresting - we could not wait for him to be done.. And since he came on at 8, Bonnie didn't come on until 9 and that's late, esp for us older folks. The venue was ok - a ballroom with chairs and risers for the show. Now that I know, i'll pick better seats next time. Also, the ridiculous rule of no cell phones BEFORE the show - no social media, no pics, what the hell? don't you want people sharing info to promote your venue? I totally understand the no phones/pics DURING the show, but that graphic that kept popping up about no cell phones BEFORE the show was ridiculous - change that, get with the times.

  • An honor to be in the same room

by Mann on 4/23/25Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The music is almost secondary to the honest and humble person that she is. This time and in the past she invites warm up artists to perform. When they finish they all say the same thing. Bonnie is warm, talented, insightful, gracious, honest, funny, and thoughtful. These are the type of songs she sings. Her voice is still pure, the notes are still there. Her guitar playing has gotten wickedly better. She’s at the top of her game in these later years. The band that backs her are true professionals. I’ll see her again and again. This is what a Kennedy Center Honoree is about.

  • Thanks Bonnie

by Deb on 4/22/25Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Bonnie was great as always, and her band was awesome as well. Enjoyable show, opening performer was very mellow.

  • Bonnie Raitt and Borgata were Great

by steve s on 4/22/25Borgata Event Center - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

I wouldn't think it possible but Bonnie actually sounds better than she ever has. She and her band were fantastic. Sound in the room was excellent as well. Mixed perfectly and everything still had a lot of punch.

  • Excellent!

Bonnie Raitt was a bucket list show and delivered. From her hand picked opening act to her Encore.. What a musical Icon and treasure. Sounded fantastic and as beautiful as ever. Great band, sound, backdrop art, lighting... THEY BROUGHT IT ALL!!!
