  • BMW Pro-Am Day 2019

    by J. G. on 8/17/19Medinah Country Club - MedinahRating: 5 out of 5

Beautiful day, lower crowds than the regular tournament days, and the pros were more accessible. Time for photos, autographs, etc. And get to watch the top golfers in the world play our game, but up close. These guys truly are exceptional athletes.

  • Great golf

by Minnie on 8/17/19Medinah Country Club - MedinahRating: 4 out of 5

Lots of fun following and watching the best golfers in the world. I do it every chance I get.

  • Empty course

by JEFF on 8/17/19Medinah Country Club - MedinahRating: 5 out of 5

Went on Wednesday & never seen so few people on the course of a PGA event. Zero people in line at food stands the 2 times & went. In the past it would be a 15 to 30 minute wait.

  • Very worthwhile event

by Aces21 on 9/19/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 4 out of 5

Course was impressive and setup was great they allowed patrons to move about freely n get very close to the golfers. My only complaint would be they should’ve had cooling stations around the premises - it was 100 degree heat n and a health risk for many even relatively young n healthy people, and we witnessed someone faint right in front of us in fact. With all the sponsorship money involved from BMW n others perhaps they could’ve had provided free water too - as when it’s only being sold for $6 a pop then that’s going to be a deterrent towards people drinking as much as is necessary in such heat n humidity.

  • Awful planning

by Siparelli on 9/18/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 1 out of 5

Gave updates every hour to push it back an additional hour. Wasted an entire Sunday waiting for them to eventually cancel at 2pm. Unable to attend Monday because they restricted parking access. You needed to drive an hour away to get shuttled back in an hour.

  • Missed Expectations

by Sowa on 9/17/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 3 out of 5

The weather played a large factor in the event being postponed to Monday. Was not able to attend on Monday due to a work conflict. I Also had tickets for Saturday. The concession stands were un prepared. I have never been to a sporting event where they allowed patrons to purchase more than 2 beers at a time at the concessions. This caused them to run out too frequently as we stood in line for 45 minutes waiting for a restock. The PGA and USGA have run hundreds of events over the past few years and you would think they would have a better handle on the concessions by now. They ran out of food also. The lines in the merchandise tent were so long that we walked in and walked right back out. No where near enough registers open.

  • rain understandable - ticketholder experience not

by bibelot on 9/14/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 2 out of 5

we are well aquainted with rainy pga championship events and have had very pleasant experiences despite several deluges. the whole setup for aronimink was awful. even without rain, having the main parking lot over half an hour from the event is a deal killer. to then force everyone to that distant location on monday - including those who paid for upgraded parking and extending to uber and private car drop offs - that is unacceptable. combine that with the complete lack of concessions on the course and the pathetic offer of 30% in a merchandise tent that was obviously overstocked due to the rainy conditions - doesn't give you any reason to want to return for any event. updates on the rain delays were spotty and last minute - extremely difficult for those traveling from neighboring states. we assume the communications and logistics problems and lack of customer service falls squarely on the pga - but think aronomink can learn some valuable lessons about what not to do and find a solution to the parking nightmare should they host another large event.

  • Excellent golf event!

by masedb on 9/14/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 5 out of 5

The only inconvenience was parking 40 minutes away. Even with that, the event was very well done!

I payed $475.00 a piece for 4 tickets to the 1899 club. The 1899 club was closed on Monday. My group was treated with dis-respect at every tent we tried to get in to watch the tournament. No one seem to know what going on with the cancellation of 1899 Club. I paid for food and drink all day at the 1899 club. We were put in sky Boxes with no Bar Or Food. This not what I paid for or did received. The tournament was great. I did not get what I paid for.

  • Wet and Soggy!

by Mrcs4u on 9/14/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 4 out of 5

Beautiful golf course even with all the rain. Well organized event with parking and transportation. My only complaint, since the tournament was postponed Sunday and moved to Monday most of the concessions were closed including the BMW owners suite. The Trophy Club which we paid extra for was also closed, which left us and a whole lot of other people real unhappy! We think the paid extra for the Trophy Club should be reimbursed. Just my 2 cents worth.

  • BMW ripped us off!

by Golffan64 on 9/13/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 1 out of 5

The event was poorly managed with the rain - with times being adjusted every couple of hours on Sunday. We had tickets for Sunday, and went on the Monday rain date instead. We had tickets to the "Trophy Club" which we paid $40 dollars for per ticket - but there was nothing there - no food or drink (at all), and tickets were not even checked. We are BMW owners, and went to the BMW Owners Pavilion, but again - no food or drink there.. Finally, we had bought the tickets early (before Father's day) so we had vouchers to get free folding chairs. We were supposed to be able to pick them up when we left the tournament, but there was no one there to give them out when we left on Monday.

Waste of money after Sunday’s round was rescheduled to Monday and paid for Trophy club tickets and it was closed that day. Did not receive any kind of refund for the extra price of Trophy Club.

  • by Anonymous on 9/13/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 2 out of 5

On Monday the Trophy Club was unoccupied by staff and no service. We paid extra for the privilege of attending the area.

Despite the rainy weather and some muddy conditions, it was an awesome event. Great time.

  • These guys hit it so far!

Great event watching the 70 most elite golfers in the world.

  • by TigerWoods1 on 9/13/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 1 out of 5

BMW Championship didn't offer any type of reimbursements for moving the Sunday round to Monday. Whether in the form of cash, or credits towards future PGA events, the PGA refused to help out patrons who waited all day Sunday only to find out the final round would not occur that day, when they really should have teed off at 7 am like they originally planned.

  • Trophy Club Closed

by notrophy on 9/13/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 4 out of 5

the event was great. unfortunately, the trophy club, which I paid extra money for, wasn't even open. no notice was given that it would be closed. therefore I paid extra for absolutely nothing!

  • The golf was great!

by DFB52 on 9/13/18Aronimink Golf Club - Newtown SquareRating: 5 out of 5

The BMW Championship was awesome! The golf pros were great and the golf course was unbelievable. The weather was the only issue but it didn't stop the fans. I wish in the future they would have more than one gift shop. I couldn't get into it without waiting more than 30 minutes so I didn't buy anything which upsets me. I was there to watch golf not standing inline to purchase golf apparel. Other than that it was awesome.
