  • Stunning....!!

by Docwu on 10/28/09Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

An intimate venue with one of the most entertaining bands of all times. John Popper and his band of merry men were FLAWLESS!!! One of the best shows I have personally ever be privy to!! After all of these years, Blues Traveler lack in NO area and NEVER disappointed from start to finish, rocking the crowd for what appeared an eternity, packed into a mere couple of hours... The opening act, "Sosos" were more than that, they provided a tremendous segue, blending an exceedingly talented group of musicians, who harmonized both lyrically and instrumentally...

  • YO! Jersey Boys Rock!

    by Thoth777 on 10/28/09Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

From the very first not to the final chord these boys had a blast and rocked the house. Way cool!

  • What an intense show!

by Anonymous on 10/26/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! What an amazing show! The show was erally intense and was so much fun to watch. The band played for over two hours solid and I have never seen anyone play a harmonica like John Popper. I would definitely recommend the show and would go again if I had the chance.

  • Excellent first Traveler show

by DizzyMan on 10/25/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Having been around for as long as they have, Blues Traveler did a great job of mixing the older songs in with the new songs. They didn't just play the radio songs, but some of the great jams that have made them who they are.

  • What a performance!

by TheDaddy on 10/25/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Blues Traveler was an explosion of killer rock beats with a backlash of old school blues harmonica. My wife and I danced the entire set and begged for more at the completion. This show was crisp and classy and some of the best damn show stoppin tunes your ears could handle. We cannot wait to see them in concert again. An unforgettalbe experience!

It was unbelievably cold and there should be more seating, but the band it self and the opening band was awesome

  • Outstanding talent!

by AnaMariaW on 10/24/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

We enjoyed the concert very much! We didn't arrive early enough to get a seat but regardless we had an unobstructed view.

  • Blues Traveler was good but Elmwood blew me away!

by Winenut on 10/21/09House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle BeachRating: 3 out of 5

I really enjoyed the show, however, I think they didn't do enough vocal songs. Too much intrumentals which considering how often John Popper had to stop to "keep his back to the audience to smoke" I can see why. They still sounded awesome and I would totally see them again, but I didn't feel Popper was really connected to the audience. He looked 'wasted', kept his eyes closed most of the show (which I understand a lot of artists do) but that coupled with his smoke breaks left me a little flat. Elmwood was so incredibly talented! The Sax, the Drums.....just completely floored by the complete talent of that band.

  • Blues Traveler was a forgettable concert

by rmartin on 10/19/09House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle BeachRating: 1 out of 5

this event was one of the worst concerts i have attended in the recent past.... the band appeared indifferent as to whether they were there and i felt the quality , both musically and performance was substandard.. i did attend the bonnie rait concert on the next evening and i can't say enough about her concert... the music was great, the performance was great and she and her band made the audience feel as though she was greatful to be there and have her fans in attendance

  • popper is the man

by hotdogsc on 10/19/09House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle BeachRating: 5 out of 5

the blues traveler is a new must see on my list when they come through town. I have not seen them live in 10+ years, but now I remember why I was attracted to them in the first place. Popper is a gifted entertainer who always keeps the crowd involved and into the show. One of my highlights was the dueling instruments with the sax player from Elmwood who went toe to toe with Big Popper on his harmonica. I think the guitar player situated to Popper's right is in line for a prell or head and shoulders endoresement.

  • Blues Traveler was off the chain!!!

by Zkillet on 10/17/09House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome! Elmwood opened and came out later to play with Blues Traveler. They put on a hell of a show and tickets were reasonable, almost cheap. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good show with a lot of energy and great vibe.

  • Blues Travelers was AMAZING!!!

by lovefry on 10/17/09House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This show was awesome. Each band member's musical solo was impeccable. Togeter they totally rocked the house and would definitely recommend seeing them live anywhere - anytime!!! Also loved the covers they sang - some of my favorites!!!

  • Elmwood rocked

by BigMal on 10/17/09House of Blues Myrtle Beach - Myrtle BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Blues Traveler was great, but Elmwood rocked even harder. Especially the bass player Nash Johnson and the Sax player. Cant wait to see Nash and the band again. Rock on dudes.

  • BT: great show

    by rooroo64 on 10/14/09Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I am from out of town, so I had never been to the Center Stage Theater. It was a great intimate venue to see any band up close and personal. It was especially great to hear Blues Traveler. I have seen them before in larger venues and this summer outside in Duluth MN. Because Mr. Popper sings so fast, it was great to see them in a smaller setting to pick up more on the vocals. Started out with Devil Went Down to Georgia, kept on goiing for 1 1/2 hours pretty much straight. John turned his back to the audience 3 times to have a smoke while the band jammed on with solos. Overall, great job!

  • Blues Traveler rocks again!

by PopperFan on 10/14/09Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Seeing Blues Traveler again was great! The venue was small / intimate and we really got a feel for the playing and singing and harmonica. The show before this I saw wasn't great so we didn't have high expectations for this one. But - they are back in great form. The only downside is Popper is smoking a lot - and on stage - and during songs - very distracting - but otherwise a great show.

  • Blues Travler was great!!

  • still jammin!!!!

by theangryelf on 10/10/09Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

I have always wanted to see the blues traveler. Somehow through the years I never had. The talent in person was every bit as good as on the cd's if not better! It was my 1st time @ penn's peak & I loved the facility. I belive I will purchase one of the membership packages & will be back to rock frequenttly!!!

  • Scott Weis and Blues Traveler were awesome

by hammellpaula on 10/10/09Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show, and great location. Penns Peak is beautiful, with plenty of room. Both bands rocked. Blues traveler played for 2 1/2 hours. If you were not there you missed a great show.

  • Disappointing

by zeeba on 10/10/09Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 2 out of 5

Went expecting to hear the music you hear them do on the radio but we only recognized one song. The band was doing a lot of drinking and taking smoke breaks while on stage (which was really strange since the concert was indoors). Disappointing and not what I anticipated. Left early (as did other people).

  • Great bandS

    by kds2004 on 10/1/09Wildhorse Saloon - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The Blues Traveler really rocked. Great music - they played all the favorites and some new stuff. The warm up band - Lucas - was fantastic.. even bought a CD. The facility and staff were first rate... for sure, a good time was had by all!!!! A must see...
