  • Blues Traveler - Best Band Ever

I will never forget taking my 5-year-old daughter to one of the first H.O.R.D.E. fests in Kansas City. We were front row, center and she knew ALL the words to ALL the songs. I venture to say she's never been the same since. Also, got John to autograph a t-shirt for her when I went to a 21 and over show... he wrote: "I LOVE YOU"...she still cherishes it today...she's 24!

The concert was incredible! We were very impressed with the quality of the music in such a small venue.

  • BT was AMAZING!

The venue is small, so all seats are good. Blues Travelers ROCKED! Very fun band to watch live. GREAT live sound. Would go again in a minute.

Great Show. I Would recommended this show to any one that has a chance to see them. They played 90 min. +. Did the hits and more.

Blues Travler is an awesome band! Really good to see them in such A small venue! John Popper is excellent on vocals and harmonica! The whole band Was in great form! Chen's lead was great! I should have bought tickets for both nights! Can't wait to see them again. Played for almost 2 hrs, non- stop!

  • Not the right venue

by Entanglement on 2/14/11Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - BowRating: 2 out of 5

A combination of factors made this show a strange event - first show in a while for band, banquet hall vs club, horrible sound system, and tweaked out people who were overly enthusiastic at all the wrong moments. Sometimes the moons line up in the "strange" direction and this was one of those times. I'll see them again, but I'll never go back to any show at the venue.

  • Better than ever!

Great venue to see them at. John was EXCELLENT and even though Tad wasn't able to be there, Jesse was good.

  • Amazing musicianship!

Listening to Blues Traveler for a few years did no justice towards the band. They are awesome musicians and a blast to see play live and flow from song to song as well as a few covers. Great band and great show.

Blue Travler was a great band to see live. We would have liked to hear more of the band's well known songs but John Popper was great.

  • great show

by andrewstrong on 11/14/10Beau Rivage Theatre - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

Show was outstanding. Mixed in some old four songs along with some newer stuff. Played a sublime song and the devil went down to georgia on harmonica. That was unbelieveable. Only reason it doesn't get a five stars was it was a little short. Theater in the beau is great, a very intimate feeling. Definately recommend to everyone.

  • Good music, but WAY too loud in a small venue

by Anonymous on 10/10/10Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, we enjoyed the music and were blown away by John Popper's skill on the harmonica, but we found the volume WAY too loud for the venue (the Uptown Theatre in Napa) - to the point that I ended up putting tissue in my ears in order to make it through the concert. The volume actually made it hard to hear some of the finer points of the music - at times, the harmonica even got lost in the overall noise. Also, it seemed like John Popper took an awful lot of lengthy smoking breaks onstage throughout the performance - maybe that's typical for this band as we've never seen them in concert before, but it seemed a bit excessive to me (although it did give the other musicians a chance to show off their skills, so my husband wasn't as bothered by it as I was). Having said all of that, I have to say that the band members were all very talented and entertaining, and the venue is very nice (other than the extreme volume).

Great show; played a lot of the classics. I'd see them again.

  • Blues is Travellin Still

by Anonymous on 10/6/10Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

Popper delivered the vocals and his harmonica didn't stop. Rob Wasserman kept the sound balanced, cool and collected while playing fabulous bass. The entire band was tight in "traveling"; delivering the blues with style and rock. They "laid it down" from beginning to end! excellent.

  • Wish I could recommend BT to my friends

by wigglesdad on 10/4/10Uptown Theater - NapaRating: 2 out of 5

Blues Traveler started out pretty well, but the feeling faded just as the band did. Really wanted to get into the music, but the extended set idea left me cold and worn. Popper anounced that he was battling some kind of bug, so I give them all some slack. Just can't get the emotion up for the performance that night, and I just can't find it to recommend the band to anyone that might ask me for a thumbs up. Cranky guitar and blasting bass solos pretty much tweeked my eardrums for any of the rippin harmonica that Popper was tossing out.

  • Way to Loud

by Johnnier on 10/4/10Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 1 out of 5

The sound was so loud it hurt, four of us left after three songs and there were more behind us. I should have requested a refund

  • The Blues Traveler

by LatteLeo on 10/4/10Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

John Popper hasn't lost a single beat...his voice was as strong as ever and who can play the harmonica like nobodies business but Popper. You know, I could care less he is a gun collector and smokes grass...more power to him. He rocked the Uptown Theatre and it was great to see him as it made the weekend. Rock on John!
