  • Blues Traveler at Red Rocks is the best!

    by DVO1 on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing venue, always a great show. Been to a few 4th of July concerts now and they are so fun! If you're a fan, make it a point to see one of these shows at Red Rocks-you won't be disappointed.

  • Blues Traveler-ok, Matisyahu and TWS- amazing!

by lakinget on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 4 out of 5

I'm not a huge fan of Blues Traveler to begin with so I guess my review is a little biased. I went to the concert because I love Matisyahu and Toad the Wet Sprocket (ok well maybe just 90's music in general). Blues Traveler doesn't really do much for me, I like their most popular stuff but the other stuff, not so much. I actually left the concert early, a little into BT's second set because by that point I was getting a little restless and tired. Blue's Traveler is ok, but for me, by no means are they a knockout headliner. I had a couple of issues with the stage design that TWS and Matisyahu played on. The stage looked really messy and unorganized and during Toad the Wet Sprocket the black trash bags that covered Matisyahu's and BT's instruments blew on the drummer which i found extremely distracting. Overall the concert was amazing, Matisyahu definitely put on a show and I loved listening to every one of the songs he played!

  • MORE TTWS

BRING ON MORE OF TOAD!! THEY ARE AWESOME!! BRING THEM BACK TO RED ROCKS AS A HEADLINER!!

  • Great Show at great theater!

    by Melba54 on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 5 out of 5

Blues Traveler was their usual tight, jamming self, but the entire experience was enhanced by the Red Rocks amphitheater, and the July 4th fireworks going off behind the stage, in the valley. We skipped Toad the Wet Sprocket (not a fan) but saw Matisyahu. He was great. As the sun went down Blues Traveler came on and played a great set highlighted by "No Woman, No Cry" accompanied by Matisyahu, and a cover of Radiohead's "Creep". After a brief break (rare at BT shows) the boys came out and played their entire second album, Travelers and Thieves, from start to finish with "Mountain Cry" as the encore. Many of these songs have not been played in nearly 20 years - I've seen the band at least 25 times since 1991 and never heard them play many of these tunes, so that was special. All in all a truly memorable and remarkable experience!

  • Blues Traveler, Matisyahu, Toad the Wet Sprocket

by KarenGY on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 1 out of 5

Must admit this was the biggest waste of time and $ for a concert I have ever spent. Give me Bruce, Stones, Jon Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Guns n' Roses, any group that can actually sing. Have to admit I did not see Toad the Wet Sprocket so I can't complain about them but Matisyahu was horrible and only last for 15 min. with the Blues Traveler before our group of 4 decided we had enough. By the way, the weed smelled like skunk, must have been cheap stuff.

  • Fun night!!!

I enjoyed all 3 bands. Lots of variety. Red Rocks Rocks!!!!!!!

  • Great show - not crazy about Matisyahu

    by TJHSBH79 on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 4 out of 5

Toad the Wet Sprocket and Blues Traveler were awesome. They were in tune with the audience and showed genuine appreciation to the crowd. I felt that Matisyahu was more into themselves and the bass level was uncomfortable. I'd certainly recommend the event to a friend, but I would rather the artists were all in the same style.

Toad was pretty good. Matisyahu was an excellent surprise. Blues Traveler was okay. Their first set was really good, but their second set just dragged on. I left some time in the middle of the second set.

by Kahmdh on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 3 out of 5

Loved the entire show! Red Rocks is an awesome venue. Just a shame the drugs were so prevalent in plain sight. Had to leave early as pot was giving all of us extreme headache and nausea

  • Let's get trashed and screw it up for everyone!

by SoberTG on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 1 out of 5

The music was great but, the alcohol fueled "Boulder" crowd was the worst. I will not attend another show sponsored by KBCO.

  • Matisyahu stole the show. Blues Traveler was Okay.

by WhoDatz on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 2 out of 5

Show was just Okay. Matisyahu stole the show and had everyone on their feet. Blues Traveler put on a decent show.

My wife and I can't wait for Blues Travelers concert next year. This show was awesome. the 25th Anniversary should be the Sh&t next year. Matisyahu just earned a spot in my CD player. Loved their uniqueness. Sorry I didn't get to hear Toad the Wet Sprocket.

  • Blues Traveler is a July 4 tradition

by TeamCocoinCO on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 4 out of 5

What a show! Very laid back, great 4th of July scene. Kids, couples, hipsters. Something for everyone. Their first set did all the hits, a cover or two, and great jams. The second set was deep. Great show.

Saw only TTWS, skipped the other 2. Toad was awesome and should have been the headliner. 45 minutes of Toad's music should have been 2 hours....

  • Would not go back

by lampstand on 7/6/11Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 2 out of 5

Being a July 4th event, we took our 5th and 6th grade children. We heard F-word, not only from attenders, but from those using the microphone; (singing and talking) and even on the music played during the bands set up time. Young couples making out all around, smoking pot, and crazy drunk. People were sitting in seats that belonged to other people and had to be ushered out. As far as the concert, the sound was great for the two opening bands, but was frustratingly horrible for the Blues Traveler -- who we came to see. Couldn't hear the bass at all and earlier with the other bands it was quite prominent. The lead singer was losing is voice. We know the musicians were better than the were portrayed by the sound engineer. It also took forever for Blues Traveler to make it up on stage - way too much delay. We won't be back.

The venue is amazing, Blues Traveler needs to be more engaging with the crowd. Otherwise awesome
